Food was very good. Worst service I have ever experienced. Asked several times about the delay in getting our food. Was constantly told - soon. Asked to speak to the manager about the slow service. We told him we were not satisfied with the delay - after sitting at our table for about 90 minutes and no food. He said... More

Very pleasant restaurant in the downtown area with a nice terrace in the front that can be used on warm summer days. Service excellent and meals were good. The veal was a generous portion but over-breaded and a bit too tenderized - i.e. a bit "mushy".. The other dishes were very good and were fish specialties. Desserts good as well.... More

My wife and I had dinner at La Scala on Saturday, July 5th. The food was very good, the new restaurant is very nice and the wait staff were friendly yet unobtrusive. We arrived early for a drink at the bar. This is nice, quiet bar, where we chattered away about all the "important" things going on with the family.... More

First time visiting the new location. Disappointment started at the door with no greeting. Sat at table for over 10 minutes before waitress even appeared and then there wasn't even a wine list on the table when asked what we wanted to choose for wine. Waited another 10 to 15 minutes before receiving wine. Both ordered lasagnas and the lasagna... More

have been here twice this past week in June, 2014. i think the restaurant has the potential to become the preeminent restaurant in the City, all the elements are there, it just needs to gel a bit; the food is relatively good with a fairly wide menu...relatively decent value and there were some "different" dishes to try; I found the... The move to Queen St. seems to be working, as the new venue is fresh and spacious, while keeping the same quaint atmosphere. The food is delicious, with the fresh made pasta our favourite. Keep up the Good Work :-)

My husband and I had dinner at the new location, and the produce was very fresh and flavourful. It has been days since our visit and I'm still daydreaming about the gnocchi in bomba sauce special I ordered. The service was relaxed yet attentive. We both had apps, entrees, dessert and a half litre of wine, and the bill was... More

We went to La Scala and it was my first time in this new location. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the tables are a good distance away from each other so you aren't listening to other conversations - high ceilings and beautiful crown moldings. We were warmly greeted at the door and immediately felt a gracious welcome. I asked... More

My husband and I dropped into La Scala yesterday for lunch. We've just moved to Niagara from Toronto and have been missing some of our favourite dining spots. We had heard great things about this restaurant from some friends and so we decided to give it a try. It was quite busy but we were greeted very warmly by a... More

We visited the new location last weekend. The restaurant is well appointed and in a great location. Service was good, but our food was cold
