My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time and were extremely impressed by the food we were served. My husband is not an overly adventurous eater, so he ordered one of the Chicken Kara-Age, served with Miso soup, salad, rice, vegetables and bean sprouts. Don't let the "tofu" in the Miso soup scare you off. It had... More

This is our favourite sushi restaurant in all of Niagara. It is not all-you-can-eat nor is it a large noisy place. It is excellent quality and being there you feel like you are in the small Japanese house in the mountains. The food is delicious and served with an Asian flair often lacking in a lot of sushi restaurants. Always... More

Having recently moved from Oakville we had given up on finding a decent sushi place in Niagara. We were thrilled to find Amakara who makes sushi as well as any place in Toronto or Oakville we've had. We have eaten in and found the staff to be polite and helpful. The décor is a little tired and bathroom dumpy but... More

This place has the best sushi I have ever had. When me and my daughter go we always get the kani pizza which is excellent. The sushi is always fresh and you can be sure they always use the best ingredients available. I've frequently gone to some of the local all you can eat places and I'm always disappointed. I... More

prices, chioces and taste is all good. Better than all you can eat places as each item is quality-not just trying to provide high volume qualities. Bathrooms could be cleaner and water glasses often taste like soap...otherwise would be a 5 start rating We get delivery often and then its all about the food- not the location.

I've been going to this restaurant for years, even when it used to be located downtown as Iseya. I prefer it to the all you can eat places because of the quality of the sushi and especially their salad dressing. I would occasionally order the Chicken Teriyaki, always a treat. So, when I asked my wife if she would like... More

It is a colourful, cozy little restaurant off the main track. They have a good selection on the menu and the food is consistently great. The meals are very filling. The interior is decorated like a quaint, Japanese restaurant. One drawback is that parking is limited; there is some free parking on Geneva St., but I usually park on the... More
