A Decent Mexican Restaurant

We came here for dinner on a recent trip to Peterborough. The restaurant has no parking. You either park on the street or there are a couple of municipal parking lots within walking distance. (Tip: one of those municipal lots gives you the first hour free, so by the time we got back to the xar... read more

We had a group of 8 go to La Hacienda after it being recommended by somebody that works in Peterborough. We had recently been to another Mexican restaurant in Oshawa and were able to compare the food, atmosphere and service between both places. The bright points of La Hacienda were the nachos and sauces provided before dinner and the drink... More

Can't believe this lovely spot is not busier. The food is the real deal. Yummy, fresh and it just makes you feel good. Will be back. My freind said this this sopa might be the best food I've ever tasted! The service is outstanding as well.

My wife and I have been many times, the food is always great. Unfortunately, the last 3 visits saw the bill being very incorrect. We were charged for a bottle of wine when my wife had 1 glass.(we were also charged for the glass of wine)This could have been a mistake ,but ,the next time we went it happened again.... More

I think I may own a corner of the patio, for the amount of times my son,his dad and I (and anyone else from TO who visited me) ate here - since 2007, and I never get tired of eating what I think is the most authentic Mexican home cooking I have had outside of Mexico. Sure there is Tex-Mex,... More

Being a business traveller, I am often dining on my own, and it's interesting how some restaurants deal with a solo diner. This place had excellent food, and that part was good. The server wasn't very welcoming, and she clearly didn't want to spend much time on me. There were other tables, and the couples and groups got better attention.... More

The atmosphere is very nice here. I usually order the enchiladas (salsa Verde) but they've really gone up in price over the last year or two and the portion seems a bit smaller. It is served with a little side of their homemade refried beans which are very good but again the portion was very very small. The food is... More

Had a very nice meal here. The food was good and quite authentic. I saw a few things on the menu that you don't usually see outside Mexico. The restaurant was short on wait staff the night we were there so service was very slow. Still glad we went.

Very nice selection of food. They didn't have any pinto Grigio, but the Azteca soup was very good. The fajitas were ok, but the tortillas lacked tasted, so they should have been served with cheese or some extra spice! The waitress wasn't too friendly, and seemed annoyed of us. We had great shots of tequila and a pretty good mojito.... More

We loved the authentic Mexican food. It tasted amazing. The waitress was very helpful as well since we needed a bit of guidance in what to order. We highly recommend this place!
