Delightful Tea Room

My aunt treated us all to lunch here on a visit to Peterborough, as it's one of her favorites. It is a pretty setting in a lovely old house. It was very busy at lunch - reservations would be a must. It seems like everybody knows everybody here - lots of visiting and catching up between tables... read more

This charming English style restaurant, complete with bone china place settings and real linen tablecloths, is a culinary delight. The crepes are delicious, the 'made from sctratch' soups are tasty. The service quick and our friendly server was able to tell us about the choices we ordered in detail. I bought their Eccles cakes and a raspberry scone to take home.... More

This is a lovely place to meet friends. The food is delightful and the desserts are scrumptious. I love to enjoy soups there and a pot of tea. I also enjoy business meetings there

Any time I'm in town I make sure I visit here. The lunch menu is always changing, and always fresh. Their soups and crepes tend to be my favorite meals. They have a wide variety of teas to try, and their desserts are a must have! My favorite dessert is their maple oatmeal pie, and my family loves their butter... More

The portobello mushroom sandwich was grilled to perfection. Accompanying side salad with beets, poached apples and goat cheese was awesome. Lovely atmosphere and waitstaff attentive.

Great food, served on real chinaware. My tea cup was a royal dolton! Desserts are excellent. I had the quiche, which was served with a fresh green salad. Excellent!!!! One of the ladies I went with had special food concerns, and they were able to meet her needs. Reservations are recommended, as this is a excellent place to lunch with... More

Have been there twice with a friend for lunch. It is very pretty and well decorated. It's not very big so I would make reservations. Lunch was delicious, people were friendly. Will be back for sure.

The menu sounded good. We arrived at 4:30 for a late lunch/early dinner. We weren't made to feel like we were inconveniencing them arriving shortly before closing time. My meal was mushroom risotto which had a great flavour. The salad was good, needed a little more dressing; still had a good flavour. My Daughter had chicken pot pie and found... More

Met with my friend for a business/friend lunch on Tuesday. I recommend reservations as it was full and very busy at noon. I had Caesar salad with was fantastic. I also had the French onion soup which was the best I've ever had - and perfect on damp day. We decided to have tea instead of coffee and we greatly... More
