Better Then Driving Away Down South

We all know pulled pork, ribs, fried chicken and other such meals, are best served in small backwoods restaurants, in the mountains of the southern U.S. Now you can save money by simply driving to Paris. Yes, I return and return when ever we are travelling past Paris. We usually do the ribs but have also loved the southern fried chicken and most recently the smoked chicken wings. All are too good. The environment is typical smoke house and staff are friendly. Make sure you check the web site for the daily specials.

Have ate here before and was very impressed with service and food - my wife and I enjoy the southern fried chicken very much but our last visit really disappointed us - ordered a 4 piece dinner and my wife a 3 piece - coating was very greasey and not crisp as is usual - 3 smaller pieces of my... I live about 40 minutes away from Paris and had a craving for BBQ. I’ve had their ribs at Burlington Rib fest, so I figured I would give this place a try. I ordered Brisket and Sausage with sides of slaw and cornbread as take out. Ambience When I arrived my order was ready, so I was only in the... More

So glad to find our favourite at the Collingwood Ribs Fest right here in Paris. Sam and Colleen are awesome!

I have traveled a lot through the southern US and miss having "real" southern fried chicken and cornbread. Ate here Jan 31/15, took my whole family with me for their 1st time. SF chicken & cornbread is the best I have ever tasted this side of the border. It will not disappoint for those who know KFC is not what... More

A lot of places advertise ribs that fall off the bones. This is the first place where they actually did. My husband had been there recent with some of his friends and had enjoyed the pulled pork so we decided to go. I had the back ribs and he had a smoked rib eye steak. They were great. Will be... If you are looking for unbelievable ribs and southern food. You might have to lower your expectations. It is still good food and a nice place to eat, but don't expect the award winning ribs it advertises. My family will still eat there.

Coming in to Paris, we saw three restaurants. One with a full parking lot, which we had tried and weren't impressed. A new restaurant, also with a full parking lot, but judging by the sign, a breakfast-type place, and we wanted lunch. The third, Camp 31, appeared empty. This should have scared me - if the locals don't like a... More

We've been here a number of times over the past few years. This time however I think the food was not up to par in some areas. I had the riblets, fried chicken, baked potato and corn. The chicken was great, crispy, tender and tasty. The riblets were not what I expected, they had a funny tasting bbq sauce, but... More
