This unassuming, homey cafe is not only the only restaurant in Osgoode but is (given it's lock-hold on the location) a GOOD place to eat. My wife and I dine there once a week (Wednesday nights to be precise) and are never disappointed. The smokey BBQ ribs are top rate- far leaner and meatier then any we've been able to... More

We went for dinner after our sons hockey game - very pleasant atmosphere; we ordered pizza, chicken burger, beef burger and quesadilla - all were excellent. The homemade soup (butternut squash) was also very good. We will definitely be back :)

I use to go almost every Friday. Sometimes just get takeout. Last time I ordered hot beef sandwich and it was cold and tasted like stale bread. Thought I would give them the benefit of a doubt and order out again. This time my quasedilla had the wrong ingredient and in TWO HAIRS! It's quite a shame as I use... More

My friend and I enjoyed breakfast here on August 25. We both had eggs benedict. As usual, they were served hot and the eggs were done to our specification. The atmosphere and service have been consistently friendly.

Decided to give this place a second try. We've been there for dinner before and got bad service. Food was ok and pricey but desert wa really good. Went for lunch this time and service was better. But food was horrible. The basil tomato soup was just salt added to the mix. The fried chicken was bland inside. Basically we... More

Charming place to go for a good, affordable meal. The service is good. The atmosphere friendly and the food is tasty and served hot. If you are ever out for a drive in the country, this is a great place to stop.

The Red Dot Cafe, formerly owned by the current owner of the Black Dog in Manotick, is a charming, well-run, comfortable place for a casual dinner (we go once a week) and, from the looks of it, a friendly pub scene adjoining. It also has a covered outdoor seating area popular with passing bicyclists. The ribs are outstanding (smokey rather... More
