Really really delicious!!

We were at jak's for brunch, service was excellent and food was really delicious! I'm not sure what they are putting on their potatoes but they are awesome! We enjoyed a couple variations on eggs Benny which were all outstanding! Prices are quite decent. Flavoured iced teas were delicious too... read more

I love breakfasts, but the portions at this restaurants are small. The service was good and courteous even if the restaurant was packed. You can not just order the regular size for your choice you have to go for the double. The quality of the food was good.

I had been living outside of Ottawa for just under a year, and was invited out for breakfast to this place. I was weary about eating out on Bronson, since it had previously been a sketchy area of Downtown. But man, it was amazing! I couldn't believe the quality of food coming out! They truly try hard to cater to... More

First in on a Saturday. Gotta say, parking not a happy place only a few spots on McCleod... Must be geared to walk-in traffic. Server friendly! Place cozy but honestly, every table suffers this issue: all the bottles ramekins etc with sauces and sugar etc were splattered with goo and dribbles. ICK! Bench seat had large crumbs and smears. Table... More

I decided to try this restaurant based on the glowing reviews I read. The homemade jam and molasses oat toast was delicious, although the latter was quite pricey as a side. Unfortunately the benedictine I ordered was very disappointing - the sausage was cold and the hollandaise sauce had an acidic, almost vinegary taste to it. My companion's Classico Benedictine... I really wanted to like this place as it was a very cosy but breakfast was disappointing, especially after reading the great reviews on here. I ordered the Classico Benedictine thinking I couldn't go wrong but the hollandaise sauce substitute gave it a watery taste. The whole thing lacked any great taste or flavour. My partner's Gruyere omelette was better... More

Went here with a friend back in 2009 and it's become a staple choice to take people to anytime I have friends over to visit. The choice in bread and sides alone tells you that this place is a foodies' dream (molasses oat, rye, sourdough, buttermilk biscuit, banana bread, rosemary focaccia & gluten free bread). The omelets are familiar flavours... More

Jaks is the former home of Stone-Faced Dolly's. It has retained the charm and intimacy of the SFD's and has lost none of the culinary art. The menu is simple they have many fresh juices, various Eggs - The Benedictines, the Omelettes or the Kitchen Mac's. My biggest problem going here is deciding what to eat. I normally settle on... This Café location is somewhat off course for short stay tourists visiting Ottawa. It used to be called Stoneface Dolly before they moved their successful restaurant business to La Corso Italia; however, we keep being attracted to the place because of its pet friendly attitude ( the outside terrasse greets us every summer). We endorse the laudatory comments seen on... More
