Pretty good Ethiopian fare, this place has outlasted several others. Usually has a few Ethiopian diners. The injera is not too thick , fresh & tasty. All menu items are above average. They never have a good beer selection, though, many times beers on the menu are unavailable. Definitely worth trying.

Came here with two friends and my husband. It was all of our first experience with Ethiopian food. We got a meat combo platter, and a vegetarian combo platter and shared. Our waitress was very sweet and did try to explain the dishes to us, but did not seem to be an experienced server. There was a cook or owner... More

We go to Ethiopian Restaraunts to eat Ethiopian food... not for the service or ambiance. My husband and I make a point to find Ethi food in every big city we visit. They have nearly all looked exactly the same. From the wall posters, and small TV in the ceiling corner, to the menus, and even the washrooms. It is... More

I ordered the Abesynian platter for one person to go, it was amazing and really fast! It's a combination of beef, chicken, lamb and vegetarian dishes and it includes injera bread. Everything tasted really good, some of the meat dishes were very spicy, but the veggie ones balance out the spiciness. The price is reasonable. Totally recommend this place and... More

raved about this place. We were a bit skeptical, as we were not sure he shared our taste. But what a fabulous experience. Ethiopian restaurants--injeera with lovely vegetables and pulses. Very attentive service, even though we couldn't understand everything the waiter said. We loved the plate itself, and the lentils and carrots and cabbage. One vegetarian plate and one mixed... More

My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant. We ordered the mixed platter and it was a lot of food for only $18 for the platter. The service was great and fast. It is truly a dining experience and should be a must when visiting Ottawa.

We really enjoyed our meal here. I had forgotten to review this for some time now. We had a great meal here that was served community style. We ordered several dishes and they all showed up on one big platter with the famous Ethiopian "bread" underneath and on the side. Our waitress was very helpful in making suggestions for some... More

First time at Ethiopian food. Funky affect, eating without utensils. We had mixed, chicken, beef, lamb and vegetables. I thought each was good and the lentils were very good. The "bread" is strange, but doesn't taste that way. It's a spongy pancake. It seems to work as well as many. A fork would have made a lot more sense, but... More

We went with a large group of friends from Djibouti and they ordered for us. We were served this huge platter just filled with stuff, and the point was to take flat bread and grab a hunk of food from the tray with it... it was messy and awesome, definitely going back!

This is the first time I've ever had Ethiopian food and probably the last though due to no fault of this restaurant. I just don't like Ethiopian food I guess. As soon as we walked in we knew we were out of our comfort zone but hey we felt like being adventurous. We order the platter for two as we... More
