This was my second time eating here and once again, had a wonderful meal - the menu is not long but the dishes are interestingly complex. We were able to enjoy ourselves and didn't feel rushed at all. Good wine choices, good microbrews, helpful staff, nice environment. A great find if you're in Ottawa and looking for a relaxed place... The Wellington is a nice place for well-cooked food that is higher quality, variety, and price than a standard pub. The only negative here was that my party was served another round of beers, then told we had 5 minutes to leave because someone else had our table reserved at 9. For your purposes, if you are meeting friends you... More

This is a very good restaurant and was just what we wanted: interesting and tasty food choices, quite reasonable prices, fun atmosphere, good service, good coffee with generous refills, no feeling of being rushed, and very much the feeling at the end that we would go back. This is a great choice for a fast (given the good service) or... More

We have not gotten in here with out a reservation on weekends - it's not just a bar serving good food. It's a bar that brews its own cask ales, serves a decent selection of microbrews, and serves very good food. We had oysters (okay), the ribeye (excellent), the vegetarian risotto (also very good), and two dessert. This restaurant is... More

The Gastropub has been my favourite restaurant in Ottawa for years. It's owned and run by passionate foodies who offer top notch food in a casual yet refined environment. They offer a great selection of local beers, a varied wine list and the servers are knowledgable about both the food and beverages. Every detail has been considered here so enjoy... More

This is a fun and trendy little pub in Westboro/ Hintonburg area. They have a great selection of beers to try and excellent prepared food on the menu. This is a great place to go on a date, or out for a good time with friends. I was surprised by the numerous weight staff who all pitch-in to ensure every... More

Visited for lunch with a friend. She ordered the soup (cheddar and ale) and I ordered the salad (with goat cheese, beets, nuts). We both had the scallop entree which was absolutely incredible. Pan-seared scallops with grilled busselsprouts on a potato and corn mash and a curry sauce. Every flavour was unique, blended and layered. The service was quick and... More

My family took me out for my birthday. As well, my son's fiancee was also celebrating her birthday. We were all made very welcome when we walked in the door. We were early, but were taken care of and kept up to date with the progress of our reservation. The food was excellent and the substitute for a sold-out item... More

Visiting my sister in Ottawa; the lucky bi-otch lives around the corner from this place?!!! Let's start with the first rate service: Sis sent me an email with the menu link. I LOVE arctic char when it's cooked right, and it was on the menu link, so I'm super jazzed up that I'm getting some. Two days later I'm in... More
