Besides the rude service, freezing cold air conditioning and crappy food, the worst part abut Cora's is their syrup rip off! They put "real" maple syrup in the table without mentioning you'll be charged extra if you use it! We were quite surprised to find the extra charges on our bill, after the waitress encouraged us to use the "good"... More

My family of five spent 4 days in Ottawa. On our last day we decide to have breakfast out. The other days, our hotel had a kitchen so we had bagels with cream cheese or peanut butter, eggs or cereal. That Monday morning searching for a place to have breakfast was hard to decide on. We wanted a real breakfast.... More

We came across Cora's by chance on our last day in Ottawa and wish we had earlier! They have an extensive breakfast menu at a reasonable price. We opted for the western omelette which came with fruit and potatoes, and 2 poached eggs with toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly, runny and the taste was great! - not like the... More

Definitely a great breakfast spot.. similar to tutti fruitti. Service was prompt. Busy there but didn't have to wait for a table. We ordered eggs Benedict. Beautiful presentation. Fruits fresh and tasty. Excellent flavor. Place looks nice, very colorful. Great place for families with children. Also fairly cheap.. nothing bad to say about this place. Check it out if you've... We visited Ottawa two years ago and ate here. We enjoyed the food, old-style service and the prices. Consequently, we decided to have breakfast here again. The restaurant is just as the name says, open only for breakfast and lunch, closing at 3 p.m. in the afternoon. They have large and small booths and a separate room for larger groups.... More

Along with two others I ate lunch at Cora's on July 18, 2014. I ordered the spinach and cheese omelet with fries but after one or two bites I could not want to eat anymore because the food was very greasy and unappetizing. The server offered another omelet made but since I didn't think that would any improvement on the... More

We have been to various Coras locations before so knew exactly what to expect from the menu. Everything on the plate was delicious, well prepared and hot. IT was the wait staff that made this trip pleasant. We went two days in a row and the waitress remembered us and was especially attentive. We will visit again.

We went to Cora's on Alta Vista Drive for breakfast twice while we were in Ottawa. Food was very good with huge portions. Service was excellent.

Looks slightly better than a diner. Food is the usual: eggs of all types, sausages, potatoes etc. Portions are large and will get a thumbs-up from those with big appetites, but the food itself is not great quality. The fruit cup consisted of the done-to-death melons and grape combo, and not too flavourful at that! Coffee was terrible. Don't bother,... More

Tired furnishings, poor and slow service. Not things you usually expect at Cora's, but what we found at this location. I would not return for a slow disappointing breakfast, there are far better options in the area like Tutti Fruti just down the road on Rideau, I wished we had opted for it!
