When I went there, I had no service for 10 minutes, and went to ask someone for coffee ( 10 minutes later), only to find another frustrated customer.
5/5 of us were really disappointed with our plates. It was just bad food. - Hollandaise sauce is thick cold jelly - poached eggs are served with a well cooked dry yolk - Most of the fruits in the plates weren't ripe enough to eat It's not just overpriced, it's bad. Also, it seems they were understaff for a Sunday... More
You certainly won't walk away hungry from Cora's. There was a good selection of delicious fresh food breakfasts. The service was friendly and fast. If anything, the serves were TOO large. Half as much, at a lower cost would be perfect.
Very expensive & limiting for non meat eaters. Staff weren't obliging & the smallest substitution was denied.Get with the times & add some turkey or veggie sausages.Other places are more modern & happy to provide gluten or carb free choices.
This restaurant is very average; the prices are average, the service is average, the food is average... just a plain old breakfast place! I find most dishes to be too sweet, but overall, very ordinary food.
Hi, I love to travel the world when I can and eat good food for the value. Unfortunately Cora (no longer Cora's) has started up-selling items on their menu like cheese on eggs and they now charge .50 cents for maple/table syrup. Delicious breakfast options with many healthy options (egg white / vegetarian) and a great selection of fresh fruit options. It should be a stop in any family pilgrimage to Ottawa. Like most dining options in ottawa - food can be slightly more costly than one would expect to pay in the US. Having said that - they quality is very... More
My wife and I enjoyed Cora's on Rideau a few years ago. it was at the height of its popularity as a special breakfast place, albeit a chain operation. Recently I had occasion to eat breakfast there twice, and was disappointed that the quality of the food was decidedly down. The service was attentive and friendly, but the food itself was... More
This was a nice change! Delicious breakfast options and a ridiculous amount of fresh fruit. It is a unique experience. All in my party enjoyed their meal. Drink was no refills, tea in a bottle , but I didn't end up needing a refill anyway. For me and my two children, the bill for breakfast was about $50, so that... More
Sat down, ordered, one person in our party didn't receive their beverage, waitress forgot. Then ordered. Waited 45 minutes, everyone around us got served and they arrived after us. When we did get our food it was cold. Fruit was turning brown on our plate. Coffee was luke warm. Waited and waited for a bill, just went to the cash... More
