Only go for the sushi

I went to Wasabi with my boyfriend on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is well decorated, but somewhat dark. Service was very slow. We only had a water refill once and we had to wait 30 minutes before getting our bill. We shared gyouza, which were delicious (though not the bes in town). We... read more

The owner turned us away (party of 12) even while were were willing to split into groups of 4's. He was just downright rude and lacked any manners. His breath also killed all the plants in the front foyer. Nasty, nasty nasty. PS: this place is not Japanese by any means - he's Chinese.

Can't say I was particularly impressed by this sushi restaurant. The spicy tuna maki was not very fresh and a bit chewy. The shrimp sushi was dipped in tempura batter which overwhelmed the taste. Worst of all, the service was extremely slow, with the sushi taking over 30 minutes to serve.

the rolls were ok, the chicken teriyaki was excellent, service, not the best. The waitress forgot to write down half of our order.

The most Japanese restaurant in Ottawa. The Soba is very good and the restaurant has a very Japanese feeling overall. Traditional and very good.

I had Chirashi. The raw fish was fresh, but there are some ingredients missing in the rice, it was tasteless...
