Once again we enjoyed an excellent lunch at our favorite Ottawa restaurant. Whether lunch or dinner, reservations are a must (their on-line system is user-friendly and efficient) as tables fill/refill constantly every day of the week. While both fish and chips are very good, the halibut is a real treat. The two large pieces were perfectly cooked, with the usual... More

The food is great. We tried the salad (with watermelon radish, greens, amazing sauce, nuts, cheese...), the fish and chips (great coslaw, greatest fish and chips-comparable to the one I had on the west coast...), the trout (great pesto sauce and great taste), the halibut (special of the day, loved the Asian vegetables with it!), and the calamari (I usually... We have eaten there three or four times and the food was good. Crabcakes with eggs Benedict for brunch is pretty tasty but it's a little challenging to walk into the place past the seafood store at 11 o'clock in the morning. Overall the food is very good but the place is small, a little crowded and reservations are a... More

We had a great lunch at the pelican grill based upon TA reviews. It's a little drive from downtown but there is free parking! We had the haddock and the moules frittes and they were both excellent. Our waiter, Chris, even sang and played the guitar! I will go back there on my next rip to Ottawa!

I have been eating here for many years and have greatly reduced the amount of my visits due to some poor service on several occasions. One was on my birthday, you were supposed to get a free appetizer when you ordered a meal and I was there the actual day of my birthday and mentioned this to the server and... More

Living in Ottawa we have many great dining options but the Pelican Fishery and Grill is probably as close as I have to a regular spot, dining here every couple of months. It's just good people cooking and serving high quality fresh fish and seafood. In fact the establishment is split into two businesses. One side is a fish/seafood store,... More

I was into your Fishery & Grill on Sat with my mom. I originally stopped in to pick up a gift card for a birthday gift but then my mom and I figured it was lunch time so we would stay to have lunch. It was AMAZING! We both had the one piece haddock fish and chips. Loved it! It... More

We've been to this charming little bistro several times and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The first is relaxed and the second is a cut above the standard pub fare.We have enjoyed moulles frites, fish and chips, planked salmon and, lately, grouper with an interesting vegetable medley. The adjoining fishmonger means they know their seafood, what's fresh,... More

Glad we had a reservation as it was busy for lunch. The oysters were average but the scallops were very good. The service was casual yet pleasant.

Best lobster Poutine in town!!! We also loved the crab cakes, fish tacos, lobster bisque and creme brûlée! Our server was very nice and quick. Lots of yummy options and local beers! The house wine was lovely. Nice presentation, would highly recommend it! Reserve in advance because it is BUSY!
