Small restaurant adjacent to a seafood store. Very clean, cordial and excellent food each time we go there for lunch

This small restaurant has an unimpressive outside, being tucked away in a pretty nondescript mall off Bank St. but the fish is first rate. The place is both a small restaurant and a fresh fish sales operation and the two are separated by not much more than a partition so a bit of the raw fish smell from the store... More

Great fish and chips. $1 specials on oysters and jumbo shrimp. Fresh choice of fish specials that change frequently. Moules et frites as good as any I've had. Relaxed atmosphere and attentive service. It can be a bit noisy when full (which happens a lot!) and I have had inconsistent portion sizes - but I'm nit picking. All around a... More

Ii have eaten there quite often and every time it has been excellent. The fish and seafood is very fresh. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere casual but not too casual.

At Pelican Grill they try to do it right. Fresh product, imaginative chef and attentive service is usually a winning combination. They almost made it on target. Our party of three decided to share different appetizers - crab cakes, fish tacos and lobster bisque. All three were good but not one was "out of this world". Actually, I found the... More

My wife and I had our American friends, who own a hotel in Samara, Cost Rica, visit us in Ottawa . Our guests had been Travelling from Reno, Nevada, for over a month in their RV and were yearning for fresh fish. As mentioned, they own and operate a hotel a stone's throw from the ocean and serve freshly-caught fish... More

Friend and myself dropped by for breakfast after reading reviews. We went out of our way actually but hoping to get there early after their opening time. Checked online to see that they were open at 9:00. When we actually got there at 9:10 we were told that they wouldn't be open until 10:00 and we would probably need a... More

Good seafood and good atmosphere. Cosy setting. Very informal. Not too pricey. Will certainly return.

I was so excited for date night at Pelican Grill but it was disappointing. First of all, the appetizers took 45 minutes to arrive and they forgot two of them. But mostly, the lobster was overcooked and grey in colour and the boullabaisse mostly tasted like pepper. It was very busy with groupon-ers so that may explain it but we... More

This was my first visit to this restaurant, a suggestion by my mother who was taking my daughter and me out for my birthday dinner. I had Malpeque oysters (wasn't overly hungry which was good as they were on the small side, and were rather strong tasting for Malpeques), my daughter had the lobster roll (good, but we found that...
