The restaurant area has been recently renovated and is now much larger. Service was fantastic and the food is delicious. We started with the crabcakes and they were okay, have to go east to get the real thing. Girlfriend had the scallops and she loved them. I had the garlic shrimp and it was very good. Definitely much better than... More

Found Pelican Grill through website and Food Network places to eat in Ottawa. Certainly did not disappoint. Lobster Bisque was spot on with just enough spice to make it memorable. Had Salmon and Fish Tacos for main meal and there was not much left on plate. Word out to Ottawa citizens...you never know who the guest sitting beside you is.... More

Peligan Grill, in the small aptly named Blue Heron Mall, at 1500 Bank Street, next to Farm Boy, has been a long time favorite of ours for special seafood meals. The restaurant shares space with their own seafood store, from whence comes the seafood. When we recently went there on my birthday, we were pleasantly surprised to see that they... More

Have been going to the Pelican for lunch and dinner for many years and it is always a treat. I went last week for lunch, and it was the first time I have been there since they renovated. The place is much better- feels brighter and more open, lots more tables, but the important part and the reason for going... More

My wife and I returned to the renovated Pelican last night and we were again not disappointed. Lobster bisque and fish tacos were outstanding. The oysters were fresh and at $1.50 per the best deal in the city. An amazing experience.

I almost hate to tell everyone about this restaurant...it is so good! The food was amazing. We went as a party of four, one had the lobster dinner, another moules frites and the remaining two had fish and chips--we were all pleasantly surprised. The seafood was perfect, but amazingly so were the sides. The ginger edamame salad that accompanied the... More

Went there for a Saturday lunch. The mussels will keep you coming back to this restaurant. We had lobster rolls and the special of the day Steel Head Trout. It was delicious. They just renovated before Christmas, it is now a more open concept and it is attached to the Pelican Seafood Market. The market has so much to choose... More

What a great place. I am not a fan of Ottawa restaurant offering. But what a treat in the cold tundra! Located in a little mall with a pretty cool super market. It's a fish store but more. Walk past the briney offerings of the day to the back and into a a simple and cosy restaurant. Want to know... More
