Went for dim sum on a saturday for lunch. Tried a variety of things but nothing was that great. One rice noodle dish was really overcooked. I liked sticky rice in the banana leaf. Don't think I'll go back.

My wife and I and the family go here all the time, never disappointed with the food. It can get busy and yes sometimes you will have to wait or ask for certain dim sum items but be patient. The food is good.

This is not your regular Chinese restaurant where you go for the spare ribs and chicken balls, it offers very unique varieties on the old favourites as well as many authentic Chinese dishes. Personal favourites are the Hunan Dumplings in a spicy peanut sauce, Spicy Shrimp (6 huge prawns cooked just right) and General Chao chicken which is the best... More

I have been going here for over 40 years. Despite the fact that the place is getting a bit stale, I still enjoy the food and like the Dim Sum, even if sometimes the variety leaves something to be desired. It is like an old stand-by. I've lived many years in Asia. The food is not North American Chinese, but... More

Went there more than 4 times over the last year (2013-2014), never been friendly, dim sum always the same, not very appetizing sometimes. The last time I went for dim sum, I found a bug in my plate (small- not a roach), they took away the plate and brought me another one, without a word...that was it, I was not... More

I hadn't been here in over 20 years! I don't think the place has changed much. I went with a group of coworkers. Food: we had shrimp siu mai, rice noodles with pork, deep fried shrimp wraps, sticky rice, BBQ pork buns (baked and steamed), gai lan, beef ribs, etc. etc. Atmosphere: OK Service: OK. I noticed that the same... More

I've eaten many times at this restaurant for dim sum at lunchtime, but not very recently. However, my family decided to have dinner at the Mandarin Ogilvie last week. We are used to the wonderful Thai food at Khao Thai, and hoped to re-create that kind of experience. What a disappointment. The food was just barely acceptable - the red... More

Enjoyed the dim sum as other visits to Ottawa. Quickly rotating items. Standouts--coriander pork and pork bun. BBQ pork the only disappointment.

One thing I like about this place is the mix of Chinese and Thai. They have the two menus mixed in one. For instance if you wanted to get Tom Yum soup(very good) for a starter but didn't feel like a Thai meal that's fine. You can order one of a very large selection of authentic Chinese food here as... We decided to try Mandarin Ogilvie, because of the positive reviews we have read on this site, and elsewhere. We got take out for 2 - to the tune of $70.00, and the food very quickly hit the garbage can. It was the worst Chinese food that we have ever eaten - anywhere! Doughy, soggy, and greasy spring rolls, with... More
