Most authentic pub ever!

This place is great! Great location, food, staff, decor everything, it's just great! We stopped in after some sight seeing and this place is in the heart of the touristy stuff. Best fish and chips I've had in a long time and it felt like I walked into a pub in the UK, everything was very authentic... read more

Went here on an evening we were going to NAC for the ballet and the waiter asked first if we were going to the NAC and then suggested the best meals to get int he time frame we had. I had the Caesar Salad with steak and it was one of the best I've ever had, generous portion! Gorgeous interior... More

The service was great. It was very loud and difficult to carry on a conversation. The table was extremely small- barely big enough to hold our plates and glasses. The table next to us was very close and it was difficult getting in and out of our seats. The food was average. We had an appetizer that we couldn't even... More

The food was good. Loved the fish and chips. Service was a bit on the slow side. Girl was very friendly once she came. We were crammed in a small table. Two dinner plates salt and pepper and two glasses and it was full.

I have been here a few times and have only been disappointed once when it came to the food. I particularly enjoy the Fisherman's Chowder with a warm scone. It is perfect for lunch. The one time I was disappointed with the food, I had asked for a cup of coffee to finish off my meal. The waiter brought a... More

The restaurant is ideally situated in downtown Ottawa but like many restaurants that are in tourist areas it's not great. Ironically it is named after Thomas D'Arcy McGee who was assassinated by Irish Fenians in 1868. One might say that the same will happen to your tastebuds after eating at the restaurant. Fish chowder was edible but lacking in flavour.... More

Neat spot in the heart of the capital to grab a beer and food. Nothing special to the menu, but a good vibe.

The food here was nice and the staff were friendly. The desserts were really good my husband had a chocolate brownie and I had fried bread pudding with toffee sauce. I thought the price was good for the size of the portion. I had the burger which was lovely.

The food is excellent! The menu is very original, very good variety with imagination. It was a busy Friday night and the service was fine. Great location, close to everything downtown. Typical English pub decor. Food was fresh. The desert offerings were very limited and deep fried so we weren't interested. The only complaint I have, and it's a big... More

Staff were very accommodating and friendly atmosphere. Good lunch time meals and seemed to something for everyone. Menue card showed a different deal for each day, so depends when you go. Give it a try!
