Trail access lunch stop

Located in the village of Osgoode, on the east end of town. Sled access is via the "A" trail which runs across the north of the village. Plenty of sled parking a few steps from the restaurant in a small park. Room for trailer parking also, as the Red Dot is located at a strip mall. Small in... read more

Have been here many times and have always had a wonderful experience - great staff, food and those desserts! Went for a quick bite tonight, had the daily special, calamari - delish (great sauce), then after much deliberation about which dessert to have out of their incredible selection had the snickers pie - amazing! I keep going back, and I... More

Worth the drive, never been disappointed. Everything on menu is amazing: big portions, well seasoned, hot, consistent, quality. You can really taste that everything is made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Service is friendly. Deserts...to die for!!! Sticky Toffee cake and peanut butter chocolate pie (hope I got it right) are just amazing. Great atmosphere!! Can't wait to go back... More

We are regular diners at this, our local restaurant. We are always surprised when we talk to fellow diners and find out how far they've traveled to our little corner of Ottawa. The food is always well prepared, properly seasoned and served quickly and with a smile. The menu is quite extensive, offering traditional Canadian staples, comfort foods, lots of... More

We live in Ottawa and have been going to the Red Dot for years. It is reasonably priced and you can get prime rib for a lot less than going to the Keg. Their desserts are fabulous - make sure you save some room. Last time we went we decided to get pasta (usually we only order pasta at Italian... More

We have been going to this place for years. You need a car to get there if you are in Ottawa, but a nice scenic drive to Osgoode. The food is very good (we really like the prime rib), prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. Leave room for dessert - especially the sticky toffee pudding (the main reason... More

yummy, yummy, yummy. I hate the calamari salad after oogling another patrons dish as it was brought past me. The place was busy but the wait staff were very nice and friendly. Daughter had nachos and really enjoyed her meal as well. I would definitely go back next time in the area.

This unassuming, homey cafe is not only the only restaurant in Osgoode but is (given it's lock-hold on the location) a GOOD place to eat. My wife and I dine there once a week (Wednesday nights to be precise) and are never disappointed. The smokey BBQ ribs are top rate- far leaner and meatier then any we've been able to... More

We went for dinner after our sons hockey game - very pleasant atmosphere; we ordered pizza, chicken burger, beef burger and quesadilla - all were excellent. The homemade soup (butternut squash) was also very good. We will definitely be back :)
