The Best Thai Food in Ottawa

The food is absolutely excellent and always reliable. The staff are very polite and helpful. We cannot find any fault with this restaurant. We have had dinners and lunches there many times and are always very pleased.

I am a foodie, and generally Asian food really doesn't cut if for me, because rarely can you visually identify the constituent components in any dish. Because of processing, rarely does anything look like the original foodstuff that it came from. My partner likes the non-heaviness of Thai foods, so we went (again) to Talay Thai. I have eaten there... More

Although I have gone to many Thai restaurants in Ottawa this one has become my favourite. The service is always friendly and welcoming. The usual dishes I order are so good I rarely try others. I routinely return back to this wonderful restaurant. Green curry...yum!

So, I want to preface this with 2 facts, first, I have had Thai food in a LOT of different restaurants, and I actually make pretty good Thai dishes at home. Second, I only tried 2 dishes at Talay Thai, but these are usually the ones I like best, so they are good dishes to review, as I have a... More

Family outing of four adults, everyone loved their selection. Mine a mixed seafood (prawns, mussels, squid, scallops) with rich sauce of ginger and red pepper, others various curries of chicken and seafood. House white wine a better than average Chilean chardonnay. Service prompt and efficient, done with a smile. Free private parking right next to the restaurant. None of could... More

Friday 5:30 pm, still quiet at this time its early.. food came FAST. Green curry - pretty good, but I've had better at silver spoon on Carling..less watery n a bit more flavour. Oh and way cheaper, and cuter decor! Panang - again, same sentence as above. Better, cheaper. I'm from the westend and I went to this location simply... More

I've been going to this restaurant since it first opened, when it replaced an old greasy spoon. It's run by a husband and wife who are some of the most friendliest people I've met. I quickly became a loyal customer, both for weekly lunches and both romantic and business dinners. The food is unbelievable - I'm a big fan of... More

This was first time trying thai place in Ottawa. I went here because of the reviews on trip advisor and let me tell you I was very disappointed. I ordered the Pad Thai and it lacked flavour, the other thing was that they only offered the shrimp on their menu. I also ordered their fried rice with pork and I... More

We had dinner here on a friday evening, the place was packed, but we were seated promptly and courteously. We ordered the special duck and asparagus in chilli and garlic saute plus a chicken curry. The food was delicious! We've tried many thai restaurants before but this one is definitely one the best! The service was great, food arrived within... More
