This restaurant is not just for vegans. Anyone who likes good food and wine will enjoy Zenkitchen. The dishes are, without exception, delicious the wine list has some great wines.

My husband & I have only recently been eating vegan and this was our first meal outside the home. We were pleasantly surprised at how nutritious and yummy our supper was. Generous portions were beautifully presented and service very attentive. They were sensitive to food allergies and provided alternatives too.

Very high quality cuisine, great vegetarian choices. Loved our experience! Date attended is approximate (prior to the options offered)

Hostess with attitude, had to ask for utensils, had to ask for drink refill, curry tasted like thai green curry out of a bottle, fritter was hard and tasteless. My companion's dinner was panko crusted saitan with teriyaki-blueberry sauce. Tasted like way too much balsamic vinegar, no blueberry and the wild rice/quinoi was unremarkable. Highlight was properly cooked green beans... More

We always enjoy coming here, and just have to share our love for their new menu. Many favourites are back, updated, and are deliciously satisfying. The Royal ZenBurger is now on the dinner menu (yay!) and is probably the largest burger platter I've ever seen. Luckily they have doggy bags! The ZenTapas sharing platter has returned, much to our delight.... More

*Drool* I'm so happy I decided to try this restaurant out. We had the polenta fries and I had the gnocchi while my husband had the celeriac. Okay, I'll admit I wasn't a big fan of the celeriac - had nothing to do with how it was prepared. It's just not a vegetable I'm all that keen on yet. That... More

This restaurant offers a gourmet vegeterian menu, which is very interesting, though not inexpensive. The "Marinated Silken Tofu" was sensational! The "Chickpea Tajine" was very good, but not exceptional. The "Dessert sampler of the Chef's choice" looked great, but the taste was mediocre. Our servers were professional and friendly. We would definitely visit this restaurant again.

If you don't climb Everest or take an amazon river trip at least try the polenta fries at Zen Kitchen before you depart this mortal coil... Long have I wanted to try Zen but since I am only in Ottawa sporadically I had always returned to my stalwart, tried and true restos; well, I have a new one, Dave greeted... More

We can't wait to get back to Ottawa and to Zen Kitchen. The attention to detail, creativity and exquisite flavour is among the best of all the vegetarian restaurants that we've visited across the country.
