Easily One of The Best Dining Experiences Had in Ottawa

We went with a small group of friends and loved how hard it actually was to identify if we were in the right place. It felt as though we were privy to some secret spot that was hidden away in plain view. The décor was comfortable, I loved how intimate the space was, and how it could easily have... read more

Your dinner experience at L'Atelier will be like no other. The twelve course meal offers one surprise after another. The dishes and paired wines are expertly explained and the staff is warm and friendly. However, be prepared to spend 3 to 4 hours at your table and to gasp when the bill arrives. But this unique experience is well worth... More

Went on January 7 and were greeted in a prompt and warm manner. Wait staff is bilingual, supremely well trained, efficient and unobtrusive. We had not been there in 2 years and found that while the menu was less molecular, it was extremely well thought, flavourful and creative. One of us had a severe seafood allergy: waiter confirmed this and... More

We had a long wait to get reservations here as my husband and I read the trip reviews most everywhere we go and didn't want to miss this one! We started with the oyster soup TO DIE FOR followed by the prime rib...AMAZING.. The waitress was superb> We are form Europe or we would be back.

Waited so long to go to that place! Amazing 12 course supper, with wine pairing. The service was flawless. The surprise dish just kept coming! Great experience!

Our party of seven enjoyed a very interesting meal at Atelier Inc. on a recent Friday evening. Assuming you've checked out their website, you'll already know there is no à la carte menu here; rather, the same twelve-course meal is served to everyone. The portions are reasonably sized - we did not leave hungry but were not "stuffed" either. Our... More

Atelier is absolutely magnificent, from the service to the cuisine! My taste buds are suing me for waiting 51 yrs to entertain them with such exquisite cuisine. Their is no menu at this restaurant, other than a drink menu. The Chef prepares a 12-course tasting meal, each course brilliantly prepared. Go for the wine pairing for 10 wines finely described... The reviews on TripAdvisor are great, and there is a reason! What you have read is true: it's amazing. Fine dining, great care taken by the kitchen and staff, ingredients treated with respect, unpretentious, accessible gourmet fare. The team likes to surprise and delight their guests, so I won't recite the entire menu and ruin their hard work. If you... More

I have eaten here a few times and each time the food and service was excellent. If this restaurant was in the US or Europe it would have a Michelin Star. The price was unbelievably reasonable for a 12 course menu.

Twelve courses with a half wine pairing over 5 hours : a wonderful evening ! Each course is a small serving of wonderfulness, creativity and fun. To enjoy, you have to be adventurous and open : we had fish, shrimp, scallop, chick, wapiti among other things. The highlight was this sweet course where we were served a sugary balloon concoction...
