We recently ate here and had a great meal. The beef rib was absolutely melt in your mouth delicious, they had good wine by the glass and the service was excellent. Would definitely return when I go back to Ottawa.

We decided to add Murray Street to our Ottawa food porn tour as we came across some reviews here that made me curious. We had been in the area for 3 days when we decided it was time to make our way. Exquisite proportions, delicious tastings, local brews and friendly service now have us hooked. Definitely a site to make... More

I was part of a business group of about 12 guests. Located in the trendy market area, the decor is "folky bistro". Service was outstanding as our waitress easily coached our wine or beer orders, accommodated our precisions and suggested off-menu alternatives. Small plates are creative and a perfect appetizer - nice to share a few. I had the braised... More

What a great restaurant. We visit Ottawa a few times a year and am so thankful we found this gem. From the moment we walked in the door the staff made us feel like old friends. The food was unbelievable and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend.

This is the place to go wether you are looking for dinner, snacks, or a late night treat. The kitchen is open until the bitter end, welcoming those who may need some sustenance after a night of drinking or industry folks who want to enjoy some good eats after a night of work. The food is spot on...The cocktails are... More

Reminded me of the great restaurants that Montreal has that celebrate winter and do a lot of root vegetables and braised meats. We liked everything but standouts were the poutine, the root vegetable and mushroom dishes. Duck was tasty as we'll and perfectly prepared. In fact, that poutine compares to my other favourites: the lobster poutine at Garde Manger and... More

stopped by at quarter to ten in the evening. We were greeting immediately, and served by a really nice waiter. The food was fantastic. I had the Fred pig's plate and my friend, the Dan's beef. Both were very tasty, a good size and left us wanting more. We finished the evening by sharing the Smores dessert....just great!

There always seems to be a duck dish on the menu and I invariably gravitate towards it. I've eaten here many times and each meal elicits a similar reaction after the first bite.....eyes rolling to the back of your head and your toes curling in delight. Eat here!

The only reason I would not give this restaurant 5 stars is quantity of food. I ordered the Artic Char which was replaced with trout (about the same I was told). I ended up with a trout which had been on a starvation diet. Two very small pieces. Part of the veggie listed with it was "fingerling " potatoes. I... More
