Can't go wrong

Went in out of the frigid cold. Welcomed immediately. Had the so called routine. Amazing. The heart and bones was very rich. Well paired with a St Emilio. Lovely.

Stopped here for lunch after browsing through ByWard market, and was pleased with my decision. They are a bit inflexible with special requests, but the food was delicious, and the service was good.

Like: Wild boar rillette (for $8, you get a good portion of the rilette with all the trimmings - pickled onion, pickled raisin, beets, mustard, etc) Also yummy: spaetzel poutine, deep fried duck breast with molasses Delicious entree: the pig that is encased in some kind of fat with spaetzel and roasted turnip. Yum! The beef shank was a bit... More

Found this restaurant during a recent business trip to Ottawa. Near center of city, close to the market. The exterior of the restaurant is easy to ignore as it looks like an old home. Inside is a warm and inviting, quiet space. The bar and charcuterie dominate the space, but not overwhelming. The menu is simple, but choosing it tough!!... More

Have eaten there now a couple of times and the menu changes often. It is somewhat limited for the "cautious type" so don't know if it would be good for those who don't like to dare. It has had beef & pork on it and you're likely to see rabbit & duck too. The first time we went I had... More

Original menu, great flavours, delicious drinks and a welcoming atmosphere. The desserts were to die for. We were very impressed by our experience.

Had brunch yesterday at Murray St., If you are hungry order the Gatineau Special, (Hello?Good morning Gatineau?) Two eggs, pancake, bacon, ham, great baked beans and Creton. All of it delicious. I needed a nap afterwards.

What a great place! We had seen this restaurant on the TV show "You Gotta Eat Here!" where they showed the duck poutine made with spatzle instead of fries. It didn't disappoint, absolutely decadent and delicious. And the smelts were so good we asked for another order to share. And good value for money. The staff were really nice and... More

Murray Street is a nice comfy restaurant with fair prices that caters strictly to the carnivorous types. My friend and I kicked off the night with fantastic drinks called “Dark and Stormy”, a mélange of black rum (the dark) and ginger beer (the stormy) with a twist of lime. Then our small plates arrived. We each had the Duck Confit... More

My husband and I had a very good dinner from the small but eclectic menu which changes daily. We were greeted and seated promptly at about 9:30 on a Friday evening without a reservation - what luck! As it was a special occasion, we ordered prosecco. The wine we wanted was not available so the server offered tastes of two... More
