A must when visiting ottawa!

always a good treat when travelling through the market or skating on the canal in the wintertime. The nutella and banana is a popular favourite and will never disappoint. However, the simple cinammon sugar pastry is a classic! If you are visiting ottawa for the first time, put this on your list!

The smell had me stopping from my skate on the rideau canal. A beaver tail is this delicious pastry with various toppings. My favorite was Nutella. Luckily I skated for a few hours after consuming this very fatty scrumptious deep fried pastry.

I love going to beavertails every time we visit places that offers this pastry since we don't have it in London ON. Although I don't eat this on a regular basis, I enjoy trying different toppings from time to time. While strolling along Byward Market, we decided to try this Beavertails location and ordered the Reese's and Apple&Cinnamon kind.. When... More

Nowhere near good. The pastries are just a piece of beard fried with sugar and oil and surely twice over priced. The place is easy to find for a quick sweet to eat but more can be found nearby of better quality.

No nutritionist will approve of Beavertails, in the Byward Market. A beavertail is a chunk of fried dough with amazing toppings. I ordered one covered with maple butter, split it with my wife, got messy, and absolutely loved it.

Typical of the Canadian place but the price is to high if related to the quality of food they offer. A fried piece of bread with chocolate inside or some other flavour

Consistently fresh & good. Pick your passion for toppings & enjoy every bite. Better than a warm donut, but more expensive too. Other great locations like the fun Byward Market & the winter Rideau Canal.

If you like sweet, sweet sugar and fillings beaver tales are for you. An Ottawa classic actually. Not sure that anyone who comes to Ottawa can leave without trying one. As for me they are nothing but way to sweet pastry.
