My kids absolutely love this place and chain - we usually go to the one in Mont Tremblant but the kids wanted to get one the same place that President Obama got his! Bring cash as they do not take credit cards - also note there is limited seating at this location, all outside.

Great for special occasions. Dough with toppings of your choice (honey, lemon, chocolate/nutella, powdered sugar, etc.) is alway, always going to have a special place in my heart--despite being so very simple. There are several locations of Beaver Tails kiosks but I am unsure if they are all the same owner. This particular one has good, friendly service and did... More

If you like donuts, you'll like beavertails. You can get different kinds of beavertails. I've had chocolate beavertails and really liked them.

Beavertails are Ottawa's version of fried dough. Finally managed to buy one when there were no lines one night after dinner at a nearby restaurant in the Byward Market. They have lots of choices of topping. I left my daughter pick and she chose the Maple Butter, which ended up being perfect. We carried it back to our hotel room... More

First of all, if you're a tourist, you just gotta go there! If it's good enough fro President Obama, it's good enough for you. It's just a piece of flat fried dough shaped like a beaver tail (think of it as a flattened donut) but boy is it good! Each one is made fresh in a variety of flavours. Order... More

A visit to Ottawa is not complete without experiencing this fantastic little treat (it's more dessert than meal). Goes great while skating on the canal in the winter, or visit it in the ByWard market. Either way - visit it! Yum! If you haven't had one, I would strongly recommend the basic Cinnamon and Sugar. For anyone with a sweet... More

This is truly a Canadian treat!! It is like a big flay donut! Deep fried with plenty of choices of flavours! It havs cinnamon and sugar on it, but you can have lemon juice, jam, chocolate, maple and several other choices of toppings!! It is a great snack to hold you all off until supper! If there is a long... More

The famous Beavertails pastries that are served on the canal skateway in winter. My favourite is the Kilaloe Sunrise, but I decided to try something new today. The Cheese Garlic and Butter one. It arrived to me as a pastry with a pile of shredded white cheese on top. I was kinda expecting it to be melted so I found... More
