Great light lunch

We got to the Sconewitch at 11:45, which was a good move. We found a table, which would have been impossible 15 minutes later. We also didn't have to wait long for our lunches. I had the chilled watermelon and mint soup and a scone with smoked turkey and Stilton. Very good indeed. My wife had a... read more

The establishment is small and always busy so be prepared to wait a while for your meal to be brought to your table.. I had the main course breakfast of scrambled eggs, fruit and a rhubarb scone. It was well worth the half hour wait. The fruits are nicely arranged on a bed of mixed lettuce. The eggs were perfectly... More

Enjoyed a quick and yummy breakfast here. Three of us had scones (lemon poppy and vanilla cream) which were amazing. Perfect size for breakfast....filled us up before a 2 1/2hour walking tour without being too full. My son had an eggwitch that he enjoyed. Hope to hit again in the morning before we leave.

Lots of locals seem to go there for the coffee, which is rich and smooth and truly excellent. The scones are softer and much more yummy compared to, for instance, the ones at Starbucks. My husband and I each had the breakfast/brunch plate - scrambled eggs with a topping (I had the Mediterranean veg and goat cheese), scone of your... More

Now that this restaurant moved closer to my work place I can go and have some lunch there. There is a bit of a lineup and thus waiting time before you can sit down and enjoy the company and the food. Still worth the trip.

We were told by a friend who lives in Ottawa to visit this for breakfast. It is contained in a very small area. I was lucky in what I chose but my friend found hers to be rather dry. We had breakfast twice, nice coffee and tea and cheerful staff.

I tried their breakfast yesterday. Scone is good, as usual. Jam is just too sweet. Egg is very good but not impressive. All in all next time I come by, I will just order some scones for to go.

Excellent Scones ,sandwiches and soup. Service is very good. The owner is very supportive of non-profit and charitable organizations.

Fantastic scones, good service, coffee just okay. Glad I went, but not sure I'll go back next trip to Ottawa

That's not entirely true. There are many compelling reasons to visit Ottawa! That said, Scone Witch is my 'must eat at' each time I go. The scones, they bake them on site where one can see and smell them, come in several flavors, are always fresh, always crisp on the outside and flakey soft on the inside. One can eat... More
