I took the advice of other reviewers who said for the first visit you should have a vanilla scone with the clotted cream. It was delicious- very flaky scone. I don't think I've ever had Devon cream before and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Very light and delicate. I do agree that it is a tad... More

I'm a fan of scones and those are near perfect. A good balance between sweet and salt, a lot of selection. A must for a successful breakfast, snack or coffee time.

Came in here for a spot of lunch and had the BLT which absolutely blew my mind. The scone was crunchy and yet soft inside and beautifully set off by the other ingredients, particularly the delicious bacon they used. Ehm, then had to try one of the scones with jam and devon cream. It was duly devoured and just so... More

This cafe in downtown Ottawa has great options for breakfast and brunch. They offer both savoury and sweet scones, with something for everybody. A great place to stop for a break when exploring Ottawa's historic centre.

Great daytime restaurant with really good food, all based on scones sweet and savoury. Delicious start to the day.

Centrally located down town, and very nicely decorated. Food was fresh and delicious. Bathroom very modern and beautiful. Very pleasant atmosphere. Wanted to linger there but too many people wanted to sit down. It shows that food is good, as many customers waiting to order. Would gladly return.

This time, this visit to Ottawa, I had the chance to revisit The Scone Witch in their new branch on 150 Elgin St. Unlike their old original address on Albert St. This is a modern look in a new building. Yet the scones have retained their original excellent taste. I have a lot of scones since my previous review and... More

We were in Ottawa for the Easter weekend and we dropped into the Scone Witch on Elgin street for breakfast. It was hard to find since the entrance is on a side street off Elgin. But once we got in we were glad we found it. Who knew that an eggwitch could taste so good. Mike was friendly and efficient.... More

First of all, the Scone Witch has moved from Albert to 150 Elgin. Although I love the eclectic atmosphere of the old location, this one is larger - food still great. All the scones are fantastic. I love the brunch and my daughter loves the eggwitch. We do not come to Ottawa without coming here and getting some scones 'to... More

First timer here....but let me tell ya...I made a lot of noise during my course about how great their soup is. I enjoyed it immensely. Unfortunately I didnt eat their sandwiches (I have celiacs) but my lunch date said they were amazing and that she goes there often.
