The view is very nice and the service is great. The food is also very good. The only thing that could improve is the decoration.

We were fortunate enough to get in to this fully packed lakeside restaurant on a Friday night. After waiting for about 20 minutes we were escorted to the indoor section of the restaurant with a lovely view of Trout Lake with pretty boats bobbing in the harbour. The service was prompt and the menu offered everything from burgers, prime rib... More

This restaurant has a great setting on the shore of Lake Nipissing in North Bay - windows all along the lake side as well as an outdoor deck. The evening we were there the special was Prime Rib - which they apparently are known for - we all ordered that. Thinking we might need an appetizer we had mussells -... More

A had a business lunch there a couple of summers ago and was cut off from a third cocktail. I had long meeting, had a full lunch and wasn't driving. The owner told the waitress to cut me off then left. I wrote him a letter expressing my concerns and frankly my embarrassment and didn't get a response. I've told... More

Went there for a staff Xmas dinner and everyone rants and ravs about this place not sure why other than the scenery. I had odered chicken with mashed taters and veggies. Food was ice cold my mashed taters were disgustingly gross and I got 1 baby carrot and 1 small piece of broccoli. Now for the price thank god I... More

Can't blame them for being average when they call themselves that. View was good..beer was cold..past that fine. Fish and chips the batter was too thick, fish was soggy..fries were good. Pickerel was good size, very plain, not memorable. Rice tasted like made with an oxo cube..fake and salty. If you are looking for a great place to look at... More

In town for a relative's bday. We asked around and was told we would be happy choosing Average Joe's. We were not disappointed. Our server was super nice and attentive. The food was created by someone who cares and pays attention to detail. The pepperoni on the kid's pizza was high quality. The risotto rich and creamy. The ribs falling... More

We were not familiar with the area and staying a few minutes up the road, Average Joes was recommended at the motel where we were. It was Friday evening and the place was really busy. We didn't have a reservation but were told "don't worry I'm not going to send you away, we'll find a spot for you". Within a... More

This restaurant sits directly on Trout Lake in North Bay, Ontario. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but when you get inside it feels like being in a lake front cottage. We went for lunch and chose to sit inside at a table directly in front of a huge picture window overlooking Trout Lake. The scenery was beautiful.... More
