My mouth waters just thinking of this restaurant. It's actually a bakery with a restaurant, so the fresh bread and baked desserts are oh-so-good. Four of us enjoyed a lovely lunch, some had quiche, sandwiches, and salads. Everything was excellent. Ingredients were fresh and tasty, the menu selection was good, I wanted to try several things on it. They serve... More

Four of us stopped on our way to the Shaw and had an early lunch. Much better than trying to fight the crowds in Niagara on the Lake. Menu is limited but good enough. Food was fine and of course, must have dessert. The pies were EXCELLENT! But - why no ice cream?

We went to this place as recommended by a local. We went there for pie, but end up having the best carrot cake I've ever had. The place is small but the food is simply delicious. The owner is very friendly too. Highly recommended.

Great pies- cute little place in an old house close to the center of town. Friendly staff. Relatively reasonable pricing and a very comfortable environment. A Niagara on the Lake classic!

We stopped by here on the recommendation of friends, my only regret is that we didn't check it out sooner. The atmosphere is rustic country, the service was friendly and attentive. We had stopped by before to pick up a pie or box of tarts and always really enjoyed their baking, but their small plates menu is what will make... More

We heard about this great spot here on TA and couldn't wait to try the pizza and pie! Unbelievably great thin crust pizza, Fantastic lime and cilantro dressing on a mixed greens salad. Service was fairly quick at 2:30 pm but the desserts were nearly sold out - not unexpected on a Saturday afternoon. Can't wait to come back when... More

TA advisors at last lured the Cheap Gourmets to the Pie Plate and what a trip it was. This unassuming house by the side of the road in Virgil, ON, just west of Niagara on the Lake, was unforgettable in many ways, not the least of which was the challenging entranceway up a sequence of pavestones. Evidently this began as... More

Stop time visiting The Pie Plate. Definitely worth stopping by. Picked up the most amazing apple and apricot pie! Could have eaten the whole pie at once!! Won't be our last visit for pies.
