Wow, so yummy and very charming!

My boyfriend and i were biking and saw this place and decided to take a break. Very charming restaurant, it's a first floor of a house with a little patio at front. There was only 1 waitress since we came around 4pm and it wasn't busy at all, but this nice lady took super good care of us. I got... read more

My wife, our Beagle and I had a quick lunch and found our meals, service and prices all reasonable. I had a beef pie while my wife had a sandwich. Portion size was ok but could have been a little larger for the price. Everything was fresh and the server was pleasant. It was nice that they allowed our dog... More

My husband and I discovered this restaurant a few years ago. It is now a MUST stop for us every time we travel through the area. I love the fish tacos and he loves the turkey avocado sandwich. I also really like their special salad. It has Brie cheese, pine nuts and roasted red peppers...so yummy! Very quaint and unique!... More

The place has made some changes. It still makes fantastic pastries, pies and many other sweet things. But they also make a pretty good pizza. Especially if you like thin crust pizza. The place seems packed when ever I drive by. Service could use some improvement. We were served by two different servers, one of who was very friendly and... More

Different menu options than most places. We love going here. Service could be a bit more friendly though (only thing keeping me from giving it a full 5 star rating)..

While vacationing in the Niagara region, we (my wife and I) stumbled upon this place strictly by accident. We weren't looking for the typical touristy type of fare.....this HIT THE SPOT ! What a GEM!!! We feel so fortunate to have found this place. We were really pleased that we chose not to eat in downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake, at one of... More

Had heard about The Pie Plate and stumbled upon it in Virgil while looking for another restaurant there and glad we went here instead. Good food with the thin crust pizza and grape pie being exceptionally good. Cat our server was on the job for her first day and did an excellent job looking after us. Adjoining bakery has goodies... My husband and I went for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. We enjoyed respectively a local beer and a specialty drink with their homemade thin crust pizzas and a salad. We then picked up some desserts to go. It felt like we were on vacation. Food here is reliably good with a friendly wait staff. And the place... More

Hi, My Mom and Dad and I just came to your place to pick up some delicious baked goods. I spent 4 seasons working at The Shaw and each summer my family would visit from Newfoundland to see me perform. A highlight of the trip for them was always a visit to The Pie Plate were we would spend quite... More

I found this restaurant on the trip advisor site, and as we were planning a trip to the Niagara on the lake area, this sounded like a good place for a lunch break. Parking is limited, but we had no trouble, locating a spot in the rear of the building. The exterior of the shop is nothing grand, and the... More
