My husband and I went for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. We enjoyed respectively a local beer and a specialty drink with their homemade thin crust pizzas and a salad. We then picked up some desserts to go. It felt like we were on vacation. Food here is reliably good with a friendly wait staff. And the place... More

Hi, My Mom and Dad and I just came to your place to pick up some delicious baked goods. I spent 4 seasons working at The Shaw and each summer my family would visit from Newfoundland to see me perform. A highlight of the trip for them was always a visit to The Pie Plate were we would spend quite... More

I found this restaurant on the trip advisor site, and as we were planning a trip to the Niagara on the lake area, this sounded like a good place for a lunch break. Parking is limited, but we had no trouble, locating a spot in the rear of the building. The exterior of the shop is nothing grand, and the... More

We decided to make a stop here based on the good reviews. This review is only for the pies as we did not try anything else. We tried the little mini pies and they were OK. Nothing to write home about and it wasn't good enough for me to buy more and take home. I bought two of the mini... More

After being recommended by a local resident, my wife and I took a break from winery touring and had lunch at the Pie Plate. My wife had a brie and pear sandwich and I had a My Kaptan pizza---Italian sausage and roasted red bell peppers. Both were wonderful. We ended the meal with one slice of grape pie and one... More

My wife and I were here after touring several wineries. My wife had a pear and brie sandwich that she really liked. I had a My Kaptan pizzia with Italian sausage and roasted red peppers. Both items were wonderful. We had a slice of grape pie and rhubarb pie. We each tried the other's pie and felt that the grape... More

What a fun experience. We sat outside at one of the small tables and enjoyed a lovely lunch and perfect weather. I had the turkey avocado sandwich which was great. The pastry case inside was so exciting...what to select???...it all looked so good. I've never had grape pie before and the young man seated next to us said he always... More

I have been here twice now for pizza. They are absolutely delicious fresh pizzas with local ingredients. The service is efficient and... somewhat friendly. They offer local brews and wine as well for decent by the glass prices. Their pizza specials are creative and delish.
