On the occasion of our visit to Niagara-on-the-lake we had the disputable pleasure to get into the basement restaurant of Fournos. We were seated next to the toilets and a credenza that they used to clean off the not insignificant rests of the tasteless meals, to stack up the dirty plates and after a while taking them upstairs to what... My husband and I were looking for dinner at Niagara-on-the-lake today and found this place. At first, we were slightly reluctant to enter since the place is in the basement, and when we went down there were so few tables occupied. We ordered Dolmades, NZ lamb rack (Greek style) and stuffed rainbow trout. The Dolmades was good, not the best... More

Oh dear - how hard is it to cook moussaka? Apparently it is beyond the skills of this establishment. We chose this restaurant in order to sample some European cooking whilst in Canada - what a mistake! The restaurant lives down unattractive stairs - it's unwelcoming, and doesn't seem utterly spotless. We were undaunted. Moussaka was ordered, and arrived. Truth... More

We were visiting Niagara on the lake for the weekend. Walked passed this place and wanted Greek food, so we gave it a try. Even with it being downstairs, we went to the basement to try Greek food. The atmosphere is... ok. Nothing great. We ordered 5 appetizers and 2 drinks. The appetizers were hit and miss. Dolmadoes - didn't... More

Very good! Chicken club sandwich, salad, more than enough for lunch. Pleasant ambiance, just have to walk downstairs to restaurant.

The restaurant is located on Queen street in a basement location so there are no windows. they are working on setting up a patio... We will be back! Check their website. It is easy to navigate and gives you a look at their menu. We met Dave, the owner's son-in-law. He was very friendly and very honest. He told us... More

Went for a nice sunny drive with my wife. Ended up in Niagara on the lake and lunch at Fournos. Good food, service was okay but you go downstairs in the basement. Feels like a banquet basement hall but the food is pretty decent. Won't go back. Will pick a patio next time.

What started out as a very relaxing atmosphere quickly turned into a yelling match by the owner and his partner. It was a family dispute that no one should have been subjected to. The restaurant is down a long flight of stairs and we could hear the couple arguing. It was very disconcerting. Never going back.

This restaurant has two entrances, as it is in the basement at 58 Queen Street and there are no windows. The other entrance is off the side street and has a menu with Daily Specials printed. As we were not terribly hungry we thought we would try the specials only to find out that they were only available for lunch!... More

Found this restaurant while walking around Niagara on the Lake. It is a small place with excellent Greek food. I had the Gyro with a greek salad which was big and delicious! Husband had the Greek salad with chicken which was also good. Would recommend this place to anyone! Good prices, good food, good service!
