This restaurant from the outside looked stunning when we visited in September however having made a visit to the restrooms whilst waiting for our food to arrive I was astonished at how dirty the place was. The restrooms are downstairs and I would be surprised if the carpet had ever been cleaned. My feet literally stuck to the grease and... More

This cafe draws you in because of its quaint look and prime location. However, once inside, the whole experience is underwhelming and management doesn't seem to "get it". My family and I stopped in for lunch during the Thanksgiving weekend. Everything was fine until my wife tried to order a garden salad with a protein. Since she doesn't eat meat,... More

This is one of the most popular places to eat in the area. I'm sure they used to be a pretty good place to eat, but those days have past. The place looks like it hasn't been renovated in decades. It's dirty, dusty, and unmaintained. The kitchen is tiny. I would call it more of a kitchenette. The second I... More

I visited a couple of weeks ago while I was on holiday from the UK, and I was beyond impressed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, there was never a moment when we were left wanting service. On top of all that, I ordered the house steak rare, and this has to be the first restaurant I've visited in... More

Treated myself to a glass of Red before the theatre and then salivated looking at all the food the patrons were feasting on. I can say they were enjoying everything and the wait staff were more friendly than my friends....give it a try...I will have more than wine, next time.

My girlfriend and I were down in NOTL for the week-end. We were looking for a place to eat outside on a patio given the lovely weather. We strolled down Queen Street and passed several restaurants which looked inviting but the menus were pricey. We stopped at the Shaw Cafe...the outside dining area looked inviting and the menu decent enough... More

Avoid this place at all costs. We chose this restaurant because it looked quaint. We ended up on the patio upstairs, which at first seemed fine, but we ended up spending the night dodging spiders, falling from the roof. We had to wait 20 minutes just for drinks, and then another hour for the food. Ordered fish and chips, which... More

Party of four, nearly empty restaurant but still it took 20 minutes to get drinks and another HOUR for food to be served. All the while assorted creepy crawlers where stopping by to check us out. Other guests orders where forgotten by the kitchen as well. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

We were looking for a nice simple breakfast early Saturday morning. This was an excellent choice? Very fresh and wonderful setting looking out over the beautiful gardens and the very quaint Queen Street in the lovely town of Niagara on they Lake.
