Quick outdoor dinner

Stopped by for a quick early dinner and grabbed an outdoor table. Limited menu of sandwiches and entrees. Our service was friendly and fast. Food was fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. Enjoyed our time.

A nice place for lunch to get out of the cold, during the Icewine Fest. The tables are a tad small if you are having a proper lunch, but great if you're sharing. The rum cider was lovely on a frigid day! Our server Gord was really attentive and helpful.

Stopped in on a Saturday for lunch. I ordered the soup of the day and the Caesar salad. The soup was potato bacon and it was thick and tasty. The Caesar.....meh. My wife ordered the fish and chips and it was horrid. Crispy on one side and sludge on the bottom. The fish was bland. The service was somewhat slow... More

Whatever Canadian means, I felt it here. Probably because the guy that served us was very friendly and we started with hot apple cider for drinks which he refilled for us. I had the cafe burger which I substituted the fries with a caesar salad and my girlfriend had the mussels which where recommended by him. The place looked quite... More

We stopped in here for lunch, and we REALLY enjoyed it! I had a falafel wrap, which came with a wonderful arugula salad in a vinaigrette dressing, The falafel was wonderful; some of the best I've ever had. My daughter had a potato bacon soup that she loved, and our waiter was extremely friendly as well. This place was well... More

One of the best kept secrets in downtown NOTL. A quaint tea room tucked in the back of the Irish Design store lets you step into the Emerald Isle with a great selection of home made Irish food. From a unique lentil loaf to Bram Brac complemented with Irish tea or maybe something a little stronger! Truly a stop you... More

This busy and well known tourist stop is a fun place to people watch on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We like to stop here for apps and a bottle of wine. The service can get a little slow on a busy day but its the kind of place you don't mind when you're kicked back and people watching.

Our first evening in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and we found the Shaw Cafe in Queen Street during our walk into the centre of town. One thin that caught our eye was the wine selections. Instead of have a bottle, or a standard glass, there was several selections of wines where got a number of smaller glasses each with a different local wine.

Every time we're in NOTL, we have to stop there for lunch. Food is simply amazing! You have to try it!

I am a very frequent traveler. But it never ceases to amaze me how some restaurants stay open when they offer this bad food. This is the ultimate tourist trap. Visitors to Niagara-on-the-Lake BEWARE. You have many good choices in this town, including the main street (Queen St.).
