By the time we arrived in Niagara on the Lake we'd had enough meat and hankered for some vegetables and ideally fish. Ginger was in the hotel recommendations file, though no one there knew it personally. The food was sublime, tasty, fresh, really nicely cooked and well presented. The waiter was a little aloof and could have been better to... More

We enjoyed a wonderful impromptu dinner out last night at Ginger. We arrived at 5:30 as walk-ins and even though nearly every table was full we were seated graciously. Enjoyed the delicious calamari salad and crab cakes as apps. The crab cakes themselves were very simple, crunchy on the outside and pure unadulterated crab on the inside. When paired with... More

it wasn't their fault. The Tourist Bureau said it was a ten minute walk and it was a twenty-five minute walk/run and we still couldn't find the place. They ordered us a cab when we left and a ten minute wait was notified. We gave up and walked back after forty-five minutes. But was it ever worth the effort. This... More

A mother and her 2 sons came from Hong Kong a long time ago. The 2 boys are doing a great job. One in the kitchen and one as front of the house, while mom is the head of family. Thane, the chef cooks up a storm in the kitchen. He finds this interesting balance between cooking Asian but not... More

Had an excellent meal at a reasonable price. Thought the menu was quite creative and appreciated the attentive but not overbearing service.

Slightly off the beaten path in NOTL but definitely worth the visit! We enjoyed Ginger's very own appetizer spring rolls, the Thai coconut chicken curry and the slow cooked salmon with soy, sake and dashi broth; all accompanied with Reif's the Magician, Pinot Noir/Shiraz blend. Both food and wine were impeccable. The service was attentive but never intrusive. Just a... More

Small, Asian, lovely. Went early so we could get to the night theater at 8pm without rushing. Good idea as place filled up. Service was good. Food for 6 was nice. We had brisket tacos, spring rolls, duck ravioli, curry...........all sorts of things. Nice..

We had the privilege of staying at the Orchid Inn in which the Ginger Restaurant is located. Cindy and her sons make an excellent meal. There were eight in our party with eight different menu choices. Everyone raved about their food. And, of course, we had great wine with our dinners. We could see why the Ginger Restaurant is a... Great little find, the food has a twist on asian cuisine mixed with european. Good service and portion sizes were of european size rather than american.
