Good food, but not great

I had the arctic char and my husband the lamb shank - both were good, but not anything special. That said, our server, Travis, was wonderful and even brought me out a complimentary birthday dessert!

Service is always good, food excellent. We did not try the buffet as we do not like to get up and down. Beth our server was very attentive.

We have dined here four or five times over the last 10 or so years. We are never disappointed with the restaurant. The service is quite professional and the atmosphere (particularly in the portion of the restaurant overlooking the main street, is great. The food of course is in keeping with the restaurant quality. Enjoy!

We came down to dinner on a cold wintry evening into this warm and friendly restaurant in the Prince of Wales. The menu had limited entrées which I find is a good thing and less time is wasted studying the menu and also regretting later about ones choice. The ambience is good, the staff friendly and even Fred the sommelier... More

Wow! The ambiance is awesome and this place by far has the best Creme brûlée I have ever tried! Very worthwhile to visit and the hotel itself is stunning

We went to this restaurant, which is located in the Prince of Wales Hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake to celebrate my Mom's 70th birthday. The location itself is impressive. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The lunch menu offered good choices and the food was excellent! We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, but the real treat was the dessert and specialty coffees afterwards.... More

I'll start by saying that I don't mind going out for a nice (expensive) dinner every once in a while. However, if I am going to spend $35 on an entree, I do expect a certain level of quality and service. I would say this restaurant falls short here. (I don't consider myself a snob, although nothing I write here... More

Awesome menu that is both tasty and fun. If you are lover of wine, the wine cellar is excellent as is the Sommelier. Location is great right in the heart of the down town shopping area.

We had a wonderful New Years Eve dinner at Escabeche. The service was incredible. Travis and Josh were amazing! Travis was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The winter sangria was delicious. The food was excellent too. Very high quality and good portion sizes as well.

We took the in laws to dinner here. I don't know why our food experience was so bad given the other reviews...perhaps the chef was on vacation. This may have been the worst restaurant meal I've ever had. I had squash ravioli.... It was mighty challenging to locate the squash centres amidst the jumbo coasters of thick pasta. All covered...
