My wife and I booked a getaway holiday in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, with room and tickets to plays at the Shaw Festival, but we were on our own for restaurant meals. We decided to have dinner at the Prince of Wales Hotel, in their Escabèche Restaurant. We were running a little late, and so we booked for 6:15, knowing that with... More

We visited Niagara on the Lake for the day with friends on our recent trip to Canada. We spotted this delightful hotel (The Prince of Wales) opposite the park and decided to have a spot of lunch on the verandah. The food was excellent as was the choice of drinks, especially the cocktails (non alcoholic and alcoholic). The service was... More

Superior service, great food. Highly recommend it. We had a wonderful bottle of wine, recommended by the sommelier, which was very reasonably priced.

I had two meals here. We arrived and wanted a quick lunch. The servers are excellent. The food choices work a bit to hard at being upscale and unique while quality and taste were lacking. The next day, I had a breakfast buffet after find nothing to my liking on the menu. The breakfast menu tends heavily towards carbohydrates. I... More

Very reasonably priced, fast service, and good food. The breakfast buffet is highly recommended (~$23/person). The staff is very friendly. We were seated immediately at around 10am on Father's Day.

We attended the Sunday breakfast buffet this morning. Lovely ambience, nice table in the sunroom, outstanding coffee, attentive and personable service. The Food we tried: Scrambled eggs: overcooked, crumbly, cold. Home fries: I suspect these were deep-fried, as the outside of each piece was uniformly slightly crunchy. Tasty. Eggs Benedict: overcooked, too little hollandaise sauce, no extra available. Sausage: Outstanding,... More

Hello, we are frequent guests at all 3 properties (Queens Landing, Prince of Wales and Pillar & Post) and stayed at the Queens Landing this weekend for Fathers Day. We decided to have brunch in the Prince of Wales for Fathers Day. We were very very disappointed in the breakfast buffet: The scrambled eggs tasted liked plastic, the selection was... More

Our second visit to the restaurant was even better than the first,a year or so ago. The place has a certain old world charm and ambience. The menu is a good Canadian range of local produce, imaginatively presented, with a very good selection of local wines,in particular, with Fred as a helpful sommelier. The waiter service was very efficient and professional. The dishes... More

We stayed in the Prince of Wales Hotel, and did not have to go far to find a very nice breakfast menu. Service and ambience are top shelf. Prices are very reasonable and portions are large. The pancakes could easily feed a couple of people and are delicious.
