The building alone is worth a visit. Felt as if I was stepping back in time. I wouldn't advise sitting on the dining room side of the bar as your view is only the back of the taps- but the food was good, service was very friendly, and there is a great selection of beer. Would go back if I'm... More

We went to the Olde Angel Inn when we first arrived at Niagara-on-the-Lake. We were hot, sweaty, and desperate for bite to eat. We had two of the house brews - the Angel Inn Red for myself, and the Angel Inn Wheat for my husband. Both were refreshing, tasted lovely. To eat, I had the Chicken and Peach Pie, which... More

The meal we had was really nice, it was a quiet night (midweek) but we weren't the only people there.

This place is really cool! My fiancé and I visited a few days ago after the recommendation of a person we met at a winery. The French onion soup with some of the best French onion soup I've ever had! My fish and chips was good however it was a little bit greasy. My fiancé had the bangers and mash... More

Oldest pub working in the Provence. Lots of ambience. Great food and beers. Would definitely recommend. A little noisy. Not for quiet romantic evening

My wife doesn't eat much beef, but ordered the roast beef sandwich. We are from Buffalo where the Beef on Weck is a specialty, but she said it was the best she ever had. The sandwich was huge. She ate half and took the rest back to the hotel. We took that half, and had it for lunch the next... More

I love the history of NOTL and this building is historic, and so it is said, haunted. The food is tasty, the menu is road house type food. Very busy, especially tourists.

Went to the Angel Inn/Pub for lunch - great food, beer & outstanding Bloody Caesars! A lot of fun - built in 1789 - it is the oldest Inn & Pub in Canada. The fish & chips, Rueben sandwich & Steak Guinness Pie were great! Fun people watching!

Hello Gerry F; Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I'm glad to see you enjoyed your visit to our historic Pub. We were established by the British in 1789 and in 1813, burned down as a result of the "War of 1812"; and were rebuilt by the British again in 1815. We have remained an English... More
