Service was lousy; food was average; room was cramped. We expected more charm. There were other places we could have chosen other restaurants close by. We probably should have.

Lovely restaurant/pub. Great atmosphere, service and tasty dishes. Perk that it is one of few places open after evening performances.

Stopped in here late on first night of arrival to NOTL. Had a great comfort-food/british pub fare dinner - seafood bake and liver and onions. Great selection of ales on tap (local and imported). Sort of a local place, but yes tourists as well. Local rumour that it's haunted.

This restaurant was recommended to me by my mom who stays at the inn whenever in NOTL. Though it was cramped and noisy, it was a fantastic pub experience. When we first got there they said it would be a 15 minute wait, which was fine, but we didn't even have time to get a drink menu at the bar... More

We tried this pub for the first time after reading mixed reviews, but thought we should have our own opinion. We made reservations for the restaurant in advance and when we arrived we were shown to a tiny table beside the kitchen doors--not acceptable so we agreed to sit in the pub. We were shown to yet another tiny table... More

Dear Smitchell1; Thank you for taking the time to write your review. Yes, sometimes it is very difficult to find a quiet table in our lively Pub as we cannot really control the noise level of our guests. It's too bad you did not enjoy your Prime Rib and Yorkshire Pudding, but I can guarantee you that none of our... More

A good choice for its historic value but i'm afraid we were disappointed with the food (we both had chicken peach pie). Crust was tough and the inside tasteless.

This place was recommended to us. This was a great find! We loved the food. I had the prime rib with potatoes and yorkshire pudding. IT was wonderful....Also had the sausage rolls for a starter. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

The Olde Angel Inn is no a tradition for our family and friends. We take in plays at NOTL every August and it is a must to visit the Angel Inn afterwards. Very noisy by fun.

Dear Cheryl C; Thank you for taking the time to write your review. Yes, we are extremely lively as we do have many people who love to visit us to take in the ambiance of our historic pub. I'm glad you make it a tradition to come here before seeing the play and I guess we will see you next... More

We were looking for something not too expensive, and found wonderful food at the Olde Angel Inn, just a block off the main shopping district in the Old Town. The building was built in 1814 and it's charming inside and the food was good. We had shepherds pie and quiche and a huge salad. The food was great and the... More
