Great Service, Good Food

We were looking for an affordable place to get a bite to eat after spending the day around the Niagara on the Lake region. We wandered across the pub and decided it was perfect. I love basement bars and this one fit the bill. There were a few other people there, but mostly it was pretty empty... read more

We went here for a late evening meal and had some finger foods. We wanted to try a variety of bar snacks. We had veggie samosas, which were a bit spicy but very tasty, especially with the mango chutney; jalapeño poppers which are always a good snack; and sweet potato fries which were sprinkled with sea salt and came with... Last year i, and many other locals, flocked to this restaurant for the bargain $9.54, including taxes, fish n chips. Not only cheap but a super fish n chips. I have been there twice this year and sadly not as good. No mushy peas now, and my fish on both occasions small and worse soggy. Last time I visited I... More

Visited for late dinner on a Wednesday evening. One had special of angus burger (with fries) for $5.00 with purchase of drink. Other had goat cheese pizza and beer. Total bill under $30. Service great. Food exact as ordered (well done and garnish as ordered). Good quality and quantity of food. We took some back to hotel. Great British pub... More

Daniel absolutely made our entire weekend at NOTL. His wit, personality, intelligence and highly elevated drink making skills had us coming back again and again each day and each evening. Phil on the microphone was icing on the cake. The service was incredible, the onion rings perfectly crispy, but the drinks - such incredible knowledge, skill and little extra twists... More

Just had lunch at the Coach & Horses with 5 friends and we all enjoyed a good meal. Our server was really great. Good sense of humour and she provided really good service. The pub was very British in atmosphere, a little on the dark side but a cool spot on a hot day to enjoy a pint and a... More

My friend and I dined here for lunch. We had the crispy fish tacos and the vegetarian/goat cheese pizza. The food was really delicious and the service was great (Jenna was our server). The pub reminded us of the sitcom, Cheers, where it was warm, cozy and inviting. We were there around noon on a Sunday and the bar area... More

My friend and I were waiting for a wine tour to begin and we came across the Coach and Horses. As we entered the pub we noticed the pleasant atmosphere. At the bar there were many choices of drink and food. It was a quiet time of day and the staff were easy to talk and laugh with. You'll love... More

We visited on opening day (closed for the off-season) late April. Excellent service from Daniel, honest, informative, enthusiastic, had good recommendations, etc. Very attentive and friendly staff overall. Daniel said that they have been ranked #1 for fish 'n chips in NOTL, so we tried the fish tacos (which use the same haddock, cooked the same as the fish'n chips).... More

The Coach & Horses Pub continues to be one of the favorite destinations for our group while hosting our conference in Niagara-on-the-Lake. We prefer the cozy atmosphere, excellent location and even better food that it has to offer, and when you add in a staff that works tirelessly to ensure you have everything you need, you have a recipe for...
