We had such a nice dinner at the Prince of Wales Hotel. Every one was so professional and pleasant. The atmosphere was 5 star along with the food. We had a drink by the fire in the pub before dinner, such a relaxing place. We toured the hotel with the a gentlemen named Bill. We had a very nice conversation... More

Sat in the lounge for lunch, no booking requited. Attentive waiter. Drinks served swiftly. Lunch was delightful, flavoursome, wholesome meals served in a fantastic room.

Don't bother with their high tea, it's quite a rip-off. First though, the positives: the fresh-baked scones were good and the fancy tea was amazing. Everything else was very disappointing. The hotel is trying too hard to be posh and it comes off tacky. The quiches were frozen out of a packet and the pastries were obviously store-bought. The sandwiches... More

Today we went for an afternoon tea, it was very good. We have been to a lot of afternoon teas, here is Canada and England. We found the scones and cream very good and also the sandwiches - good selection and the quiche tart. We did like the the dessert selection, however could be a little better. My daughter pointed... On the spur of the moment we decided to try the afternoon tea. We were lucky enough to get seated right away. It was a thoroughly delightful experience. The food was great and the presentation especially nice. The atmosphere was very cozy and our server Amber was very charming.

This was our first experience at the Drawing Room but it most certainly won't be our last. We went on a cold winter day and the ambience was just perfect! We had the 'traditional' which included tea and a variety of pastries, sandwiches and mini-desserts and we weren't disappointed. The portions were more than generous, our server Amber was delightful... More

My wife and I made bookings to attend the High Tea while we were staying at the hotel. We had planned the trip somewhat around the Tea and were not disappointed one bit with the service level of the staff nor the quality of the food and tea. The server was great to explain each of the teas and courses... More

We had dinner in the restaurant and then sat in the lounge called the Drawing Room to enjoy one more glass of wine before heading back to our room. The ambience and warmth of the place is very inviting, especially in the winter months. We were there on a Saturday and there was a fairly large group listening to live... More

I have always wanted to do this. I am so glad I did. This was "Tea" at its best. All China setttings (Wedgwood) (Vera Wang Wedgewood) . The seating was comfortable. Picture walking into an 19th Century parlor. You could select your own tea I had the Darjeeling my husband had the Gunpowder Green. Both excellent. The treats were well... More
