This is the second time I had been to the afternoon tea and not the same experience as the first time. I recalled delicious pastries and sandwiches along with a charming waiter who made us feel like we were on a cruise ship. This time - we felt like we had bothered them by visiting. We arrived about 2:30 pm... More

We expected top notch food and were disappointed with the steak that really did not seem like any rib-eye we have had before. The service seemed a bit lacking. We were disappointed.

Was there with friends for lunch. The lunch was great with a good wine. Dress proper, no flip flops or short shirts. See also the photo's. They talk for themselves.

For the third year in a row we had afternoon tea at the Prince of Wales. We were seated in the solarium and could people-watch while we sipped our tea and ate our sandwiches and pastries. Perfect.

We visited the restauant in August when Niagara on the Lake was celebrating it's Peach Festival. Despite the crowded streets and busy restaurants, the wait for our table was less than 10 minutes. Our server was very pleasant, without being obtrusive. One of our party had certain diet restrictions and the server was quite helpful in making sure that what... More

We were hopeful that the tea would be as lovely as the room decor but it was very disappointing! The service was slow and the server should have changed her apron because it was dirty. The tea did not come with tea bags so you would have to order another pot of tea. Only one scone for each and another... More

Sunday's are made of High Tea on a warm afternoon, and this charming (if not significantly upgraded) hotel from the 1860's proved to be winner in the picturesque Niagara on the Lake. Service was impeccable, the food (sandwiches, scones, raspberry slices, etc) excellent and the range of teas, all properly served, exemplary. Reservations might be needed when the town is... More

While in NOTL we decided to have Afternoon Tea at the Prince of Wales. We were seated within 15 minutes as we did not have a reservation. My two friends ordered the high tea and I had the cheese platter with fruit. The sandwiches were just ok. Not impressed with the cucumber and cream cheese sandwich. The cucumber was sliced... More

We had afternoon tea instead of eating lunch somewhere else and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. It was a traditional British tea with all the excellent service you would expect.
