This was a find for my wife who is gluten intolerant. The owner Pat is too, and so offers several gluten-free dishes. My wife had salmon cakes while I had the Guinness and steak pie. That was a taste of Ireland in the new country! For dessert we had the Bailey's almond slice which was a generous slab of dark... More

This Irish tea room is absolutely amazing. I generally stay away from bakeries/cafe's because I am wheat intolerant but my partner suggested we go in for a coffee and it was so quaint I couldn't decline. I'm SO happy we went in! We had the most amazing lunch. Much of the menu is gluten free AND almost all of the... More

We stopped for a wee cuppa, and some soup & wheaten bread. The soup was delightful, and the wheaten bread took us back, and we felt like we were eating a meal on the old sod of Ireland. Wonderful lunch!

After a day of seeing a show, shopping, and walking for ages it was wonderful to find this little spot for a tea break. There was lots on offer but we opted for a scone, strawberries and clotted cream. You just couldn't go wrong. We had wonderful tea and enjoyed the quiet and repose. Lovely!

My wife and I usually try to visit at least once when we are in town. You need to spend time in the Irish Design shop either on your way in or out. The food is home cooked and caters for special diets and service is excellent. You can get local wine or a beer with your food as well... More

The tea-room is at the back of an Irish-themed clothing and souvenir store. On entering the restaurant, our initial reaction was not great, as our reception by staff was somewhat brusque, almost rude; however, once seated, the same staff member was more pleasant. The biggest surprise was when I asked about gluten-free options, and the waitress pointed to the pastry... More

I recently had lunch at the Irish Tea Room in Niagara on the Lake. The food was excellent. They also have a wide selection of gluten free meals and desserts. The gluten free items are wonderful, not just for those who are gluten intolerant. This is a great place to stop for lunch or afternoon tea.

Stopped in for a bowl of soup and soda bread. It hit the spot. Lovely fresh potato leek soup. Love soda bread but not sure about the pumpkin seeds in it. Left with some great tea. A perfect place for lunch.

I'm gluten free and found this little gem by accident. The tiny tea room is filled at lunchtime but you can still get to the pastry counter. This lady knows how to knock your socks off with pastries. I got something with whiskey in it and another butter rusted chocolate caramel something that melted in my mouth. If I ever... More

My wife always looks forward to eating here when we are in Niagara on the Lake. Although the choice is limited, everything is delicious. Food quality and portion size is very good. The non-GF people enjoyed lunch just as much as the GF people. This is always one of our favourite spots to eat and bring dessert treats home from.... More
