It was a Sat night and I was surprised we could get a table for 6 at 7.30pm despite the hot reviews on Tripadvisor. My first reaction when we arrived was one of concern. There was a family of 6 who sat next to us and a couple of small tables. Little did we know that we were in a... More

I have eaten wienerschnitzel many times in Germany and Austria and the food here is as authentic and as good as any food I have eaten there. It isn't a big place and doesn't look like much from the outside but inside it does have some character and a varied menu. Be sure and end your meal with one of... More

We are locals and our family has dined here on several occasions. Generally, the food is pretty good - nice schnitzel, dessert crepes are good, brunch is a bit meh. It's a family run business - wife is in the kitchen and the husband runs the front of house. We would joke around about the service ... he seemed to... More

We just celebrated my husband's 60th birthday at Savoury and Sweet. We had 34 people including our 4 active grandchildren. Tomas was an excellent host and helped to plan the party. The food was excellent with a wonderful variety. Our friends and family all raved about the food being the best they have had. Our 1 guest was gluten free and... More

This casual restaurant has harkens back to yesteryear with its historical feel inside. There is a nice view of the Chippawa Creek out front through expansive windows and if weather is right, you may sit outside on a couple of tables. It is primarily a breakfast and lunch restaurant although is open for supper on Thursdays through Sundays. The supper... More

I called this restaurant and spoke with the manager/owner and made a reservation. Right up front he told me that a large private party had reserved most of the restaurant for a birthday celebration. He told me that he would be glad to sit us but wanted to let us know about the big party but that they would be... More

This little gem is worth visiting. It has really good Hungarian/German style food. Very small, so make sure you have a reservation. Nice area of Chippawa to enjoy a stroll after eating too much! Enjoyed the schnitzel with spaetzle, and fantastic crepes for dessert. A must try.

Three weeks ago we went to Savoury and Sweet Friday night for their jazz evening. The music was very good, better really than one might expect at a small restaurant on the outskirts of Niagara Falls. The food, however, was a revelation. It's central European, so I expected a heavy, meaty, stodge-like meal. It was all of those, but really... More
