Don't even know what a Black and Tan is...

The only pub I have ever been to that doesn't know the difference between a Black and Tan and a Crown Flout. Don't even bother asking for a snake bite.... Mediocre food and snarky waiting staff round out the decor. Do yourself a favour and head somewhere else for a decent pub experience.

Maybe it was the crowd that turned us off but the place was full of selfie-taking self-absorbed university students who were rude and obnoxious and made us want to flee. We did when we saw the food of the people beside us .. it looked like it came from a Servco food truck and was reheated and not made fresh.... More

My daughter lives in London and this place was suggested by a friend. We were greeted at the door by a very friendly man, our service was excellent, the atmosphere was fun and social.

We visit this pub quite often. Generally the service is quite good and the food is exactly what you'd expect at a pub. Occasionally the wait staff and kitchen get overwhelmed and it might take longer to get a meal. This is a small establishment, and sometimes the crowd exceeds their ability to serve promptly. In the couple times this... More

average food, inefficient service, not very welcoming. There are many pubs in this college town, do yourself a favor and visit others, such as Winks, Molly's or Beertown.

Basic pub food, taken out of the freezer and zapped for our dining pleasure. Nice beer selection, and great cozy pub ambiance in an old house done up well. The main for both myself and my wife was good, the rest not so much. And we barely saw our waitress even though it really isn't a large place.

For more than a decade we have eaten in this pub during our annual trip to London. It never disappoints. In temperate months we have eaten outside in its patio setting. Other times we are seated inside. More often than not, our choice is the steak and kidney pie. Their large local regular clientele speaks volumes about the quality of... More

Halibut and haddock fish was ordered. Both came out over-cooked, especially the batter coating. Too crispy, needing a beverage to help chew and swallow. The chips are not freshly cut and cooked, probably from the frozen section of the supermarket. We left about 85 % of the chips behind. Too dry and too crunchy. Beer was good and with lots... More

We went here for lunch and then dinner. Its got an excellent selection of imported beer and the food is generous in portions and delicious. Very cozy atmosphere and an obvious gathering place for locals. Get there early because it fills up quickly.

I've been coming here for years, ever since my mom played on a volleyball team sponsored by the pub. They've always been more than welcoming and I've always been more than impressed by both the service and the food. It's one of the most unique restaurants in London, with a genuine Irish feel to it. I myself am lactose and... More
