After not being able to get into the Icarus Resto. Bar, as we had originally hoped to try, we were steered to the Black Trumpet.. What a bit a serendipitous good luck!! We did not have reservations ( and they were packed ), but the fine gentleman named Kapitan made sure we were seated promptly ( at the bar )... More

I took my ladyfriend to Black Trumpet on Aug 29th for her birthday. For appetizers, we ordered a caesar salad and tempura maki rolls. The caesar salad ($11) was OK and the tempura maki rolls ($12) tasted like their were cooked in fish oil. Then we ordered two grilled beef tenderloins ($36 each). One was to be medium rare and... Wonderful atmosphere! Food is like London. Mediocre!!!! My friends steak was horrible for 36 dollars i expect more. My chicken for the price had little or no lobster in it. Service was good until a big table came in and Marla ditched us for the tips. So sad. For this price i could have had many wonderful meals and beers... More

A colleague and I had dinner at the Black Trumpet early in the week. The server was very pleasant but the service was very slow. There is a great variety of lovely options on the appetizer menu but the selection of entrées are completely meat and fish based. The only vegetarian option was pasta minus seafood - replaced by very... More

Me and a friend went for dinner tonight and we had a wonderful time. Our meal was delicious and portion sizes were great for the entree. Our appetizers were also delicious; however, I felt that my appetizer, which was the stuffed jalapeño, was a small quantity for the price. They were tasty non the less. We had wonderful and accommodating... More

We went to the Black trumpet on Friday August 1. Our appetizers were good, I had the braised short rib for my entree which was good but only 2 asparagus spears seemed a bit stingy. My friend had the mahi mahi and said it was excellent. My other friend had the duck comfit and it looked disgusting. It looked like... More

I had been to the Black Trumpet once, back in 2008 I believe. I cannot recall what I ate (probably mussels, or seafood of some sort), but I do recall it was heavenly. When I saw that they were included in London Licious this year, and I looked over the menu, I knew I had to go back. My partner... More

I live right around the corner and had never been to The Black Trumpet. My boyfriend and I visited this past weekend during Londonlicious and was I ever surprised. Great atmosphere, wonderful service and amazing food. The patio is like a hidden gem in the heart of downtown. very peaceful and private. Great experience and I can't wait to return.

My friends, six of us in total experienced The Black Trumpet last Tuesday evening, July 22nd. We had a nice table outside on the patio, but I encountered a few problems. First of all, our server greeted us with a so, so welcome and no smile. Our appetizer was okay, but very small. Our entree, most of us had duck,... More
