Beertown a bit of a disappointment

I avoided this relatively new establishment in London for quite a while, mainly, I must confess, just because of the name. The location also leaves more than a little to be desired, especially as it has a patio. Maybe it is just I, but a view of a shopping mall parking lot when I sit outside to... read more

Visited Beertown for the first time recently for lunch and loved it. First of all the waitress was one of the most happy and pleasant people I have come across ever and it was a joy to be served by someone who genuinely appeared to enjoy their job! ( I really wish I remembered her name). The food was delicious!... More

Thanks so much for the kind words! I am proud of our dishes here at Beertown, especially our fresh house made and baked bread (it’s the best part of the burger in my opinion!) I’m happy to hear you didn’t mind that the patio was in the parking lot too, I spend a lot of time nurturing the plants in... More

Four of us went to the Beertown House for lunch on a Monday. The good news is that they have an excellent range of craft beers. However, in spite of the restaurant being relatively empty, the service was very slow. . It took a long time to get service and food delivery after the initial delivery of the beer order.... More

Hi Brian, I am terribly sorry to hear that your experience at Beertown was anything else then outstanding. I understand the importance of quick service, especially during lunch times, when our guests have to get back to work in time. Although we do prepare every dish from scratch to order, the menu was engineered to allow us to get every... More

Seven of us went there for my birthday. We ate on the patio which was very nice. The waiter was attentive and funny. He did a great job. The food was a mixed bag. The fish & chips were wonderful according to my son and grandson and reasonably priced. The entree salads both my husband and i had were way... More

Hi Cathy, We actually spoke with your husband on the phone shortly after your visit and we sent out a gift card so that should just be in the mail. Apologies that it hasn't reached you faster! After speaking with your husband we were under the impression that all was well, if it is not please let us know because... More

Went here with a couple friends because one of them really likes the food. The burgers came out looking greasy and gross. The buns were dripping grease. My friend and I bit in anyways and immediately regretted the decision. We both ended up having upset stomachs and having trouble keeping the burgers down. It was extremely bad and over priced.... One expects typical sports bar food but they actually a rather nice job with a number of dishes. Pecan crusted salmon and a very nice pad thai round out a somewhat standard menu. Crowd was a broad mix of ages and service was reasonably attentive. Would recommend.

Went tonight for a casual beer and dinner. We had the California burger , fish and chips and pad thai. The place was full, we got a table in 20 mins. We bring beer loving friends because of the large selection of beers duh. Food was plentiful and cooked as per order. We live close by so like the idea... More

Late getting this review in. Experience was from few weeks ago during the Olympics. I had 2 bad visits prior so I reluctantly went with others to watch the us-can hockey game. We got there before noon. It was almost empty. Pregame wasn't on and music was blaring. We asked to turn the music off and put the game on... More

Have been to this place 4 times over the past year. It had the greatest steaks in North London. Even the schnitzel was good. The last two times to this place it has had average bland food. The menu is shorter, cut down on portions and eating there is getting expensive (value drop). Beer is the only thing going for... More
