Limited but intriguing Latin menu; excellent food preparation and presentation; helpful friendly host

You need to eat here. Che fills a badly needed void in London: high-end Latin cuisine, presented expertly in a beautiful space. I've been back several times since discovering it a few years ago, and it's been absolutely consistent. The menu is primarily Peruvian, and focuses on seafood and beef. Some highlights are the hanger steak tacos (an appetizer, and... More

We've been hearing so many good things about Che Risto Bar that we decided to make it our Valentines destination. A sleek, minimalist décor filled with large and very colourful original artwork greets diners. I faced the giant fallopian tubes on the back wall - and what could be more life-affirming/Valentines than that? We started with the Ceviche Mixto (a... More

A good experience. The beef skewers (called heart of beef) and the lamb shank were both flavourful and well cooked, but the Mahi mahi was under seasoned and overdone. The atmosphere is relaxed and the caipirinha strong.

Excellent night out. The food selection was reasonable for a small restaurant with realistic prices. All the food was nicely flavoured. My calamari virtually melted in my mouth. For the main I had the rib-eye steak which was not subjected to a bath of salt, which a lot of restaurants seem to do. I could actually taste the steak and... More

This restaurant was a first time experience and I would recommend it for something out of the ordinary. The service was attentive, friendly and attentive and the atmosphere - upscale. We ordered several appetizer recommendations from the wait staff including their poutine, beef tostitas, empanadas. The entree was paella which was loaded with the freshest seafood and flavours. Would recommend... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our New Year's eve experience at Che! The food was excellent. It was a fixed menu with three - four choices for each course. They did a good job finding enough different options that everyone was satisfied. I think my husband ordered better - he had the Chimichurri ribeye steak and it was fabulous! My appetizer was... i hadn't been to Che for more than a year. My wife, adult son, and his partner dined between Christmas and New Years. We shared the Ceviche Mixto (ceviche with leche de Tigre, calamari, octopus, shrimp) and Corn-Dusted calamari. Both were beautiful - some spiciest, calamari extremely tender, very ample portions as in you should share. The mains were the... More

had the chance to come back to one of my favourite eating locations, with a great group of friends, so we were able to book the front window location. Perfect spot with a small group, and the helpful staff are great getting us all situated and quickly served! Great wine selection, super pricing and then the awesome selection of food!... More

I had the opportunity to travel to London for 2 months. During that time, I had dinner at Che several times! The ceviche nikei was my favorite, it melted in my mouth! The other favorite was the chumichurri rib eye steak with Yucca fries, amazing! Marvin is a wonderful host and makes you feel like you are the most important... More
