We dined again last night at The Springs. This restaurant is a converted church and has great ambiance. There are windows all around. The food is absolutely excellent and is cooked from scratch. This means that one can make personalized adjustments to a particular selection. The chef takes great pride and care in the preparation and presentation. The portion size... More

This was our first visit to The Springs and we wished that we had gone much sooner. It was a Tuesday night and the restaurant was very busy. The waitstaff was attentive and the chef came to the dining room to check on the meals. We had not had escargot in years and this appetizer was different - sauteed and... More

Visits we The Springs on Friday June 6 at 7pm with my 2 sisters (1local, 2 from out of town). Much to our surprise, the restaurant was not busy although we had a reservation. The patio was open but we chose to eat inside and had a lovely window-side table. The tables are quite close together in the dining room... More

Perhaps due to an event downstairs, both service and food were much less than expected (for the price and preceding reviews) at Springs. All four guests ordered the onion soup which had good flavour, but the two crouton breads with minuscule shavings of gruyere didn't go very far. There were bread plates at the table, but no bread arrived. When... More

My son and I got off the highway looking for a steak dinner and happened upon the Springs through google. The owner, Laura, was super helpful on the phone giving us directions to park our exceptionally long truck/trailer combination. She had a table reserved, and the ambiance was nice, if a little noisy. The table for 2 at which we... More

We went to The Springs for dinner on a Friday night, and there were four of us at the table. Each one of us absolutely loved the food, atmosphere, customer service, and value for the price. I am allergic to nuts, and the kitchen was able to accommodate for this - I could have anything on the menu (a rarity... More

The food is delicious, decently priced, great selection, quiet atmosphere......and the dirty vodka martini was the best I have ever had!

My wife and I are foodies; we've been to several of Canada's top restaurants. The Springs really impressed us. Our appetizer and entrées were fantastic. They were clever recipes, expertly prepared. Our dessert, the cheesecake, was the only dish that didn't impress. Service was generally good. We'd wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Springs.

My husband and I went to this restaurant for an early dinner on a week night. It was about six pm. And the restaurant was not very full at that time. The ambiance was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The food was delivered in a reasonable time and was well presented. My husband ordered the venison and I... More

I found the food here to be really good, although what comes out on the plate is not necessarily what you anticipate, based on the menu. The menu writer appears to be more creative than the kitchen. They did have live entertainment on the Saturday night we were there and it was good, did manage to stay away and enjoy... More
