At one time, about 4 months ago, we tried to have dinner here, but the restaurant was closed. This one is closed on Sundays. Now we had a chance to try it (for lunch) and while the waitress was more than pleasant, the food was just reaching the bottom end of "average" level, nothing that I would talk about with... More

First visit for a family birthday, and we were really pleased with the food. The duck perogies with cabbage were delicious, with the cabbage being the surprising star!!! Venison was spot on and superbly cooked.Tuna appetizer delicious and fresh, and my prawn and pasta was great. Great spot for group celebrations, girls night out, or family gatherings. Will go back for... More

This was my first visit to The Springs though my friends had been before and enjoyed it. A former Baptist Church has been completely and beautifully renovated to create the upscale 'Springs' Restaurant. We asked for a table near the window and were placed in the alcove at the front. There was to be musical entertainment after 7 p.m. but... More

Went here Tuesday, August 12th with another couple (4 of us in total). It was quiet for a Tuesday evening with probably only 4-5 other tables in play. We have wanted to try The Springs and are very happy we finally made it happen. The atmosphere is wonderful. It is a studio-room concept; there are no romantic corners, but I... More

We visited this restaurant on a July Saturday evening, it was 3/4 full inside with a couple of larger tables of guests. The food and the service was great, we both had appetizers and the beef as our main entrée, we shared a nice desert and we didn't have any alcoholic beverages, our bill was about $100. That being said,... More

We dined again last night at The Springs. This restaurant is a converted church and has great ambiance. There are windows all around. The food is absolutely excellent and is cooked from scratch. This means that one can make personalized adjustments to a particular selection. The chef takes great pride and care in the preparation and presentation. The portion size... More

This was our first visit to The Springs and we wished that we had gone much sooner. It was a Tuesday night and the restaurant was very busy. The waitstaff was attentive and the chef came to the dining room to check on the meals. We had not had escargot in years and this appetizer was different - sauteed and... More

Visits we The Springs on Friday June 6 at 7pm with my 2 sisters (1local, 2 from out of town). Much to our surprise, the restaurant was not busy although we had a reservation. The patio was open but we chose to eat inside and had a lovely window-side table. The tables are quite close together in the dining room... More

Perhaps due to an event downstairs, both service and food were much less than expected (for the price and preceding reviews) at Springs. All four guests ordered the onion soup which had good flavour, but the two crouton breads with minuscule shavings of gruyere didn't go very far. There were bread plates at the table, but no bread arrived. When... More
