We went here for lunch on a Saturday. Delicious food. My mom had the lamb curry which was nicely spiced and my wife had the ploughman's plate. She absolutely loved the pâté. I had the red snapper sandwich and my 4 year old some had the grilled cheese with bacon and panko flakes. He said it was the best grilled... More

Went for lunch. Great atmosphere and excellent food. English beer on tap. Some interesting takes on classic English pub food - for example, the Ploughman's lunch goes well beyond the usual chunk of cheese with some bread and pickle. Also some more interesting items like duck confit.

Friendly service from the minute I stepped in - followed by great local beer and an excellent lamb curry. Closing strawberries with Grand Marnier were the perfect close.

Finally, a pub in London with really good food and a decent set of taps. Really enjoyed our meal - great staff - would highly recommend.

I brought my partner and my mom here for a semi special dinner before my mom left for the entire summer. My partner and I live in Toronto and my mom is from London and not a huge diner outer. I live to eat out. I really didn't want to take her to a big chain restaurant. Mostly I didn't... More

Recommended by a work colleague - a super gastro pub with great atmosphere, excellent personal service and delicious menu. The Parmesan crusted asparagus with whole grain mustard and mayo dipping sauce was to die for. Book ahead, they get busy and will turn customers away even if there are empty tables, to keep the quality of food high for diners... More

Came here with high expectations after so many foodies I know recommended it. It exceeded my expectations! have been back 3 times since (in only 2 weeks). Order off the board. The specials vary from game to fish or seafood and are inventive, appetizing and extremely well-priced. The poached fish I had last time was unbelievable! My advice to new... More

Had dinner there in the bar. Mushroom dip starter was very good, as was the spinach salad main with steak. Portion sizes are generous and appetizers were very filling. Only improvement both draft and bottled beer could have been colder.

We came here after so many of our friends highly recommended and it did not disappoint! We ordered: chicken fried bacon (I am in love with this!!! Pork bacon strips in chicken batter with these amazing sauces), poached fish dish (very light and poached perfectly in butter), bbq boar (so delicious) and strawberry shortcake (light and amazing). They are also... More

I have been coming here almost since the opening. Specializes for comfort food with high quality and well prepared ingredidents for the london palate. However, when the chef can be inventive, the kitechen shines and is competitive with any gastropub in the world. Specifically, the specials on the chalkboard-especially the game-are decidedly world class. Wonderful owners and staff complete this... More
