My wife and I recently spent a week birding at Point Pelee and visited Paula's for dinner on 4 occasions. Staff are very attentive and friendly and help to give the place that small town, neighbourly feel. Yellow perch, pickerel, salmon and chicken fettuccini recommended.

The portions are tiny, the prices high. Salad out of a plastic grocery store container, dressings from a bottle, soup from a can. My perch was tasteless, probably because it was from frozen. Rice had that salty brown taste/look with flecks of green something or other. Uncle Bens? The waitress was nice, location convenient, bird feeders were nice, that's it.... More

After our first visit ever in the Park just an excellent lunch of yellow perch basket with home cut fries and coleslaw. Certainly happy with Paula's convenient location for tourists and that we didn't go with the review of the apparently disgruntled local below!

I loved the yellow perch and fresh cut fries! The batter on the fish was light and it melted in my mouth. Everyone loved their food. It's the best fish I've had at a restaurant. Also, the service was great too!

Not one of my favourite places...the fish was very greasy and smelly. The restaurant is not clean in my opinion...they try hard but locals are not the ones who eat there....it's in a prime location for tourists...very busy during birding season....beach season....sorry but won't return.

Just to let everyone know, Paula's will be re-opening Friday March 8, 2013 from 11:30 am to 9:00 pm for the season so excited. Been a long winter, missed her fresh perch, pickerel and homemade fires. Can't wait to see what's new on the menu this year. Heard she added more perch to the luncheon perch whoo hoo can't wait.

My fiancee and I were en route to Point Pelee and decided to stop in for a mid-afternoon meal. I ordered the seafood chowder to start and the main course being perch. When my chowder arrived at the table it tasted burnt and lumpy. I mentioned to waitress that the soup was inedible and she told me that they used... More

Attended again today and as usual, the yellow lake perch was exactly what we wanted and have come to expect. We discovered the difference between white perch, imported perch and yellow from the owner, Paula, many years ago when working in the area. Can't beat the sweetness of the perch. The staff have come to know us but treat us... More
