I have had at least three lunches at this restaurant over the past year and keep expecting the next one will be better. Their fish and chips must come out of a box, not freshly made. Will not be returning.

Nice diner, and it's licensed! Perfect place for a piece of pie and a pint! The pies are homemade and delicious!

We searched on-line and read the Kingstonist.com's guide to b'fast. After reading that list, the Jiffy Grill sounded perfect. Decor is fresh and charming, but the Canadian Bacon was very greasy, and the Hashbrowns were cold. It wasn't yet noon on a Saturday, but we had to ask for jam for our toast and the waitress was huffy about it... More

Two fried eggs, three small strips of crispy bacon, bit of iceberg lettuce, maybe a slice (thin) of orange and home-fries, two slices of buttered toast, a little pack of jam and/or peanut butter. Coffee (one cup and extra for the 2nd cup); the damage was $23 for my wife and I. That seems a little high to me. So,... More

Got a soup for take-out today while I was out doing my errands. It tasted okay, I guess, kind of bland (potato soup)...but the thing was...it literally was 6 mouthfuls. It was the smallest take-out container I've ever seen, the size of, say, what you would get sauce in from a Chinese restaurant...couldn't believe it. Five dollars!!

Horrified by the lack of concern for cross contamination. Health hazard. Processed cheese used to make omelets disgusting. The jiffy was once a dissent place to eat. Now your better of at McDonalds at less you know that to expect.

On a recent visit to Kingston - we took our daughter in-law, son and grandson for breakfast. The breakfast is not the same as in the past, the ownership may have changed. We ordered 3 specials 2 eggs, bacon, toast and homefries for $7.75/person - coffee is extra, an order of pancakes and sausages and extra order of toast. Two... More

My girlfriend and I went to the Jiffy Grill for lunch, my girlfriend ordered to steal sandwhich steak medium, the steak was a little to pink and just dripping from grease. There was no bottom bun left because it disintegrated from te amount of grease. Not only that it was bland there was absolutely no seasoning on it. It gets... More

What do you want? Two fried eggs sunny side up, bacon (3 slices) with a bit of fruit and a bit of lettuce and a full helping of home fries. The two slices of brown toast comes with butter on and little servings of peanut butter or jam. The coffee is terrific. The service is unobtrusive and efficient and fast.... More

We had "breakfast".... The home fries tasted if they had been previously cooked, then recooked. (Dry, shriveled potatoes). The egg looked as if it had been cooked in "burned" oil. Instead of a golden colour , it was a speckled dark shade of brown. Would I return?...NEVER! Would I recommend this place? NEVER
