Great restaurant, always enjoy the service and the food. This is a great place to go for a nice occasion, this time was an anniversary dinner. For starters we ordered Stuffed mushroom caps with garlic and herbs and the French Onion Soup Main course: Filet Mignon Tenderloin wrapped in applewood smoked bacon. The ultimate in tenderness. 7 oz or 10... More

The food at The Keg in Kingston is good for the most part...The service is decent, but the servers are generally distant & uninterested in the people they are serving... There are two young guys who work there that go above & beyond to make the dining experience a good one. However, two good team players, does not a team... More

Overrated and pricy. After three visits I don't need to try again. Steaks cooked well done when ordered medium rare, cold dinners and average service. I did not have to pay for the steak cooked wrong...yes I ate the well done steak because I wanted to eat with my other guests. Although not paying is appreciated I would rather have... More

Our wedding anniversary and we returned again, as we have done every year. Always busy Labour Day weekend with students returning to school and families taking them out for pre-school dinner. Reservations necessary...one family did not have reservations and were required to wait 45 minutes. We both had the prime rib as well as lobster tail and Alaskan king Crab...beef... More

We expected more for the $$$ on our anniversary. The food was "okay" (e.g., steak undercooked and a bit tough), the ambiance is good (if a bit dark). The service was a bit slow, with a bevy of Queen's students working there (which is fine), but lacking in suitable customer service skills, warmth, or menu knowledge (including ours), clearly just... This restaurant is opposite the four points sheraton hotel and I should have been on time for a business dinner here - however I was 30 mins late due to hotel ( see my hotel review) . The staff here were great and quickly had me settled , order caught up and cocktail delivered . The food was hot, tasty... More

My table of 6, was seated finally after an hour of waiting at the bar where no bartender offered to serve us without great efforts on our own behalf. Once seated our server finally arrive after 8 mins. Poured us water and walked away without taking our drink orders. Some time later she came back to take both food and... More

It took forever for the food to come..You would think it would be cooked and hot after such a long wait..Not so..I never had asparagus served raw and other items hardly warm..I would not go back..

The keg, city to city is always top notch. The food is always delicious and service is fabulous. We arrived around 10pm, they close at 11, and we received relaxed accommodating service. We sat on the lovely patio where you're surrounded by lush hanging flower baskets, and comfortable outdoor couches. We both ordered the pecan sirloin topped with goat cheese.... More
