Was here once for a group dinner and once as a family dinner, nothing outstanding, service as to be expected from staff on min wage and university staff.

My wife and I went for dinner for our anniversary. This was our third attempt to get in. 2 previous times we did not want to wait 45 min to be seated. We waited 7 min. to be seated only to find the restaurant was less than 1/3 full. The food was good quality. The dining room too dark. Too... More

I have been to several of the Keg restaurants around Canada, and I feel that the Keg in Kingston was just a bit of a disappointment. The food was alright, where it normally is sensational. The atmosphere was dark and awkward rather than rich and moody. The staff were functional but not attentive or interested. Overall I would suggest another... More

Went there for a special occasion dinner. My partner and I ordered three cocktails, the "Smoky Pineapple", "Cucumber Tom Collins" and "Blackberry Mule". I'm not sure if it was just this particular bartender, but both the Collins and Mule had waaaay to much sour mix. Like, almost undrinkable too much. In addition, the Pineapple and the Mule come in a... More

My brother was celebrating his 70th birthday with a dinner at The Keg. He had a gift certificate to use up, hence the choice of restaurant and we live close to Kingston. Having lived in Ottawa, he and his wife did not expect to get a reservation but Kingston allows that early in the supper hour. My husband and I... More

I felt it was pricey for the quality and quantity of food received. The service was great considering they were a little under staffed.

We have been coming here for years and it is always the same. The food is tremendous. I love the baseball steak, Med rare and delicious. The keg size wine, and the service is first rate. I have been here so many times and not once have I been disappointed. This is a chain that is nothing like a chain... More

Ask for the baseball steak and you'll be back in the Keg for another one. I did so. They serve also local canadian beer.

Visiting Kingston and since it was my wife's birthday wanted a place we could trust for good food. Wasn't disappointed. It's pricey but the steaks are excellent. A place I'd visit for a special occasion but not for going to generally. Service was top notch.
