I've been to Sima Sushi many times, mainly for lunch. Great value, sparkling service, and great sushi, sashimi, and tempura. Take it from an Oriental who was brought up on this stuff, this place is hands down the best in Kingston.

I ordered take-out as I was staying at a nearby hotel. The sushi was fine -- not wonderful, not terrible. The edamame was under-salted to my taste. The main issue I had was that I was charged $1 more for the edamame than the price listed on the restaurant's website. I didn't notice until I got back to my hotel... More

I tried the sashimi lunch which was very fresh and delicious and a bowl of rice for $10. Not sure if this is a good deal in the Kingston area, but possibly overpriced when compared to Toronto. All things considered, the lunch was good, as was the service.

Great central location on Princess St. in downtown Kingston. Nice that tea is served while waiting and is no additional charge. Great specials. Service was good. Priced right. Reasonable. The only problem was that we noticed on the way out that the very nice waitress used the same cloth to wipe the floor and then used it to wipe a... More

I see a lot of complaints about the size, but honestly, I truly feel this is part of the ambience I've come to love about this place! It feels homey and cozy in my opinion - I love taking a little table by the window and watching the hustle and bustle outside. I'm all for small-town friendly family run business... More

There are many sushi places in our town & I've eaten at most of them. Sima serves the freshest fish in my opinion. The female servers are very cute and very sweet but it's a tiny restaurant.....you'll knock elbows with other diners. I don't really like this ambiance but the food IS good.

Good food, pleasant wait staff. They were pretty busy, with people waiting for tables and to-go orders, as the place is a bit small, just like all the shops are in an old town such as Kingston. But the food came in a reasonable amount of time. Paying our bill was a bit slow, as if they only had one... More

We have eaten at the newly openes Sima kitchen, princess street 269. We enjoyed a sushi combi (with good soup and salad) and some stir fried noodles with chicken. All was very good, including a small hot spicy tuny dessort. The staff was very friendly and although it was sunday, the restarant was 80 percent full, The atmosphere was really... More
