Good food and value

This joint was showcased on season 1 of You Gotta Eat Here and it was well deserved. They serve up some legit stick to your ribs home cooked meals. Reservations are a must for diner and this small place fills up fast. Their garlic Caesar needs to be tried if you are a fan. Although many years ago... read more

I had the best luck stumbling across this little gem after sailing with my best friend Rod. The place is small and quaint I would say, but the hearts and talent of the people working there are huge. The breakfast menu that we viewed had a lot of nice choices to choose from and since we were both very hungry... More

It may not be easy to find but worth finding. The 'Killer Seafood Soup' is just that. So flavourful and hot. Lots of clams, scallops and shrimp. I had the grilled cheese -it was good. My lunch mate had the turkey sandwich and was surprised that it was real turkey and was huge. The pies were xcellent. Not for the... More

We always love a jaunt down James north in The Hammer for a bit of home cookin'. Comfort food at its finest resides in abundance in this eclectically decorated place. Yes, it's just like being a kid in Grandma's kitchen. Whether it's the warmth and comfort of Shepherd's Pie or the gravy smothered goodness of meatloaf and mashed, or even... More

This place has dated decor in a shoddy area of town but the food is outstanding and the service is even better! My wife and I have been going every weekend for past month since we found it. A must try!

The Harbour diner is a bit too run down to be funky or trendy. Old furniture, décor and mismatched dishware are a bit off putting. The place was too warm with only ceiling fans to circulate the air. The place didn't smell very pleasant either, kind of like a musty old trailer. Breakfast was unspectacular. Bacon (2 pieces) was fatty,... More

From reading the reviews and our own experience I believe that there are a lot of inconsistencies. We love the atmosphere and the service however the food was below average. Their signature dish with pasta and seafood tasted very fishy and should not taste that way. The fries for the poutine were not fully cooked. The turkey for the turkey... More

We have never come here and been able to get a table right away - but that is NOT a complaint! This place is so popular, especially for a weekend brunch, and it deserves its reputation. I had their French toast and thought I’d died and gone to heaven. So delicious, so decadent, and such a great price. Lovely staff... More

Love the Harbour Diner. One of the best places to eat in Hamilton. Homey atmosphere and the owners are very nice. Lots of variety on the menu and they do the best all day breakfast in the city.

My boyfriend took me here a few times and I love it. It has a home like feel to the diner and comfortable place to eat at. I like you can have brunch all day if desired and have yummy comfort foods. Everything we order was so good and homemade. We absolutely love their coffee and prices on the menu... More
