Another stop in Guelph Ontario and another excellent visit to The Boathouse. Love the view along the river and in fair weather the seats on the patio are fabulous. Even inside the windows are large and provide a wonderful view of the river. The food is excellent and a great choice to please all palettes. Reasonably priced and excellent service.... More

My party of four loved our lunch and tea. Very unique and historic setting, great service, excellent wraps and tea..one of the best wraps I have ever had. We will be back, I guess many times.....

This is a very different experience with mismatched dishes, tables and chairs. However, the lunch menu has its own uniqueness - one of a kind salads, High Tea with sandwiches and scones, tasty soup and sandwiches

Great location with nice view of the river. Although it was windy we sat outside and felt quite sheltered. The food was good and enough choices for everyone's taste. Our waitress was very friendly and more than happy to make suggestions about local attractions, other places to eat etc. Definitely recommend this place for a nice light lunch and then... More

On steamy summer days Guelphites walk, bike, or drive to the little old boat house located right on the Speed River, across the street from the park. An interesting collection of ice cream flavours and a casual, comfortable outdoor environment, including a covered patio, make it a popular place for local people. Kiddie cones available to everyone and there's no... More

Brought my daughter for lunch today and was told it would be a 15 minute wait. Totally fine, not an issue. Then was told there was a table outside but that it was in the sun, that was fine with me, I said I would take it. So they directed me to a table outside just to the rigt of... More

This is my most favourite place to go to in Guelph whenever I need some "quiet time" or like meet girlfriends. This place has never disappointed me! I love the friendly staff, charming interior and exterior and the varied and excellent menu. There are always daily specials. The coffee is excellent and the staff offer free refills, too. Their scone... More

It was raining and there was little or no parking close by. Service was good...staff was friendly. Vegetable soup was excellent...quiche was soso. For a nice snack by the river when you're in downtown Guelph I'd recommend it. Not a high end eatery as I was anticipating.

My friends and I (our "tea" group) have been meeting at the Boathouse on Saturday mornings for years and I am always so happy when it opens again in the spring. I am a big fan of their scones but have also enjoyed many light meals and yummy desserts. One of their best assets is their wait staff. Their efficient... More
