Went for lunch (2 couples) arriving about 12.15pm (weekday), the place was quiet. Nice English style pub restaurant/bar with quite a good atmosphere. Service was relatively fast and pleasant, but the food was variable. We both had "mushroom pot pie" which was ok, add two coffees and a bottle beer, total cost before tip, $38.??. Our friends had one "pot... More

We recently had dinner at the Badger while taking in the many artists at the Mill Race Folk Festival. The patio was quite busy but we found the last empty table. Our server was prompt and friendly with menus and drink orders. We were both very pleased with our meals. We will definitely return to the Black Badger in the... More

I went to see the Gabe Lee Three play and of course the DANCE FLOOR WAS PACKED ....why wouldn't it be ?? However - the dance floor is in the middle of the bar and mixed with a couple of drinks can make the walking and dancing a little difficult. Now add carpet - ugggh --- suggest the patio..... Great... Staff was rude and kept moving us from our table to set up for the band. We were in the middle of dinner and the waitress came to move us for reserved band watchers. When we refused to move until our meal was done the manager came over and asked us again to relocate. Restrooms were horrid and when we... More

We visited here last weekend, looked alright until we walked inside. Place is very run down, no attention from the staff. Bathrooms are horrid, upolstry is stained with only god knows what. Regular bar food from a bag, not horrible but not fantastic either. The woman behind the bar was very arrogant and rude, I have heard she is the... More

This place needs to be refurbed. The bathrooms are just plain nasty and it is dark and dingy. Sometimes the furniture feels sticky. The bench seating has you sitting so low compared to the chairs you can sit your chest on the tables. I have been to a lot of pubs in England and Ireland and this one just seems... More
