This restaurant offered delicious, interesting food in an appropriately refined atmosphere. Like many fancy restaurants, the meal took a long time and came at considerable expense -- but that's to be expected at such an obviously upscale venue. It's over to top for us on a regular basis, but a wonderful treat for special occasions.

The dining room is quite nice with decent spacing between tables and a good view of the outside. Everything is quite elegant completed with fresh flowers on each table. Starter was lobster. The lobster itself and the guacamole mix was tasty. However, there were extra items which did not complement the basic lobster flavour. Overall, the dish did not work... More

One of my greatest joys when dining is when my expectations are fully satisfied and the team at the Langdon Hall did just that. The food was excellent, the wine list impressive and the service professional.

We returned to Langdon Hall Country House Hotel & Spa Cambridge ON with my sisters to enjoy Chef Jason Bangerter's tasting menu dinner. It was a multicourse dining experience. We drank two bottles of Domaine Zind Humbrecht Gewürztraminer 2012 and ate chilled Nova Scotia lobster; Ontario Asparagus. White and green; sturgeon caviar; Chilled Nova Scotia snow crab; Quebec foie gras;... More

We celebrated my birthday here with the chef's 9 course tasting menu. There are not enough adjectives to describe how good this meal was. 1) compressed watermelon with cheese 2) milk sorbet with caramelized onions 3) albacore tuna with herb both 4) snow crab with shaved truffles 5) marinated lamb tartar 6) halibut and spot prawns with morels 7) local... We took the package which included two nights room, three course meal one night and the Chef's menu the second night. Food at both meals was excellent, well prepared and well presented. The hotel has valet parking which is good on arrival (free) but we waited almost 20 minutes for our car as there was only one person doing valet... More

This was my first visit to Langdon Hall, and I was very impressed with the superb cuisine, the cordiality of all the staff and the elegant rooms at this wonderful old mansion. I would have rated it "Excellent" with five stars, except for the totally unexpected presence of house flies flying around the table during our lunch. We had lunch... More

Food was amazing - my only complaint was a lack of attentive service. We waited a long time for everything ( it was not busy). We just felt that no one seemed interested in our business.

I coined this description of our meal as we were finishing dessert Very without the ‘ry’. Our meal was better than Good but not quite Very Good/Excellent. We had the tasting menu which leaned toward the sea a little too much for us, but they were happy to steer it back towards land with the subtraction of the salmon dish... More
