The best overall restaurant for taste, atmoshere.

By far the best and we go often. We typically go before 5 PM as they have specials. You can't beat the food and service here Top marks all around.

Great atmosphere, jazz music and great service staff. Cameberte appetizer was fantastic and highlight of lunch. Beef braized ravioli in creme sauce nice but very rich. Not a 5 as food was not the absolute best but not a 3 either. A solid 4 and would return without question. High quality establishment. Little pricey.

Had lunch with friends today at the West Plains Bistro on Plains Rd. East. The service was awesome and the food was out of this world. We had thw warm Camembert app and Bruchetta that was out of this world. The warm beet salad was a meal in itself and the home made burger on a pretzel bun with frites... More

Another wonderful luncheon experience at West Plains today. Prompt friendly professional service and delicious food. My elderly parents love the intimate, cozy ambiance here. Today we enjoyed the delicious salmon en croute, chicken pot pie and salmon pasta special. Cheers to the dessert chef too! Fantastic! See you soon!

Have eaten here twice since last review but am losing my attraction a little. Menu has changed in a negative way or they have a new chef. My favourite lunch (philo uncrushed salmon with dill sauce has been butchered. Not the same and very lame). Lunch no longer includes beef b. which was delicious. Waiter agreed and could not understand... More

We travel, we eat out all over the world and we have certain expectations regarding Bistro food, Food ok and the price point is typically expensive for what you get. We heard about this place and decided to try it out. The restaurant is a bit tucked away behind the Wendy's and does not have much curb appeal (mind you,... More

The restaurant is intimate and cozy and well decorated. The staff was very friendly and had perfect timing, never hovering which was awesome. The food was absolutely delicious!!! Came out fast and presentation was beautiful. Everything we are was delicious. I'm from out town and we would make the trek to go back again.

Went to the West Plains Bistro with friends who are local to Burlington (we're Albertans) and put it this way: if we had a local place that had that caliber of food and service, we'd never get to eat there because it would always be full! Wonderful!

Recently visited the West Plain's Bistro -- we really enjoyed the food the service and the ambiance. As the restaurant was very busy there was plenty of space between drinks appetizers and main courses. The New York steak with stilton chees sauce was done perfectly and ranks with the best I have ever had. Everyone else meals were excellent --one... More
