What a charming dump

This place advertises up front that it's been there since 1932 or something and it shows. The decor is strictly 40s diner, and the waitstaff is ornery and sarcastic. I loved it. The food plentiful and cheap and pretty fast, the coffee is hot, black and refilled often. More food than most can... read more

Visiting the area and dropped in for a quick meal. Reasonable prices and the food was alright. Burgers were great! It is a bit dark and could use a touch up but don't let that scare you away. Staff were perfectly attentive.

Best club I have had in Ontario! And yes it's real TURKEY not sanwich meat or chicken Brest. I have lived in Ontario for many years and yet found a great restaurant with food from scratch. This place served us two wonderful meals just like home😃. My husband was almost scrapping the gravey off the plate and I joked with... More

This place is a relic of the past but it's extremely popular with a busy parking lot and sometimes lineups at the door. A wide ranging breakfast menu as well as other meals. Not exciting or what you could call gourmet, but reliable plain cooking.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere of this place. We came for breakfast late Sunday morning, it was busy but the wait wasn't long at all. I had the spinach omelet which had feta and onions in it and came qith toast and hash browns. Everything was delicious. I ordered the rye bread as my choice of toast and it was seriously... More

This place hasn't aged. The decor and menu are straight up family style. The service is outstanding. I took my 86yr old Grandmother and she LOVED it! I enjoyed it too and there were young people, couples, families, the list goes on. The menu is exactly what you'd expect, including the all day breakfast. Mixed veg were the good 'ole,... More

I ate at this restaurant with a friend last week, the place was very busy which is always a good sign, the food was excellent the coffee was very good and the price was very reasonable, we asked for the special of the day, the total bill was less than 15 dollars. The home fries are very good!

This is the quintessential greasy spoon restaurant, but with great simple food. Definitely not fine dining or anywhere near it; but they aren't trying for that. Amazing breakfasts, good lunches and dinners with typical meals....liver and onions, open face beef and turkey sandwiches, club sandwiches, daily soups, hamburgers, grilled cheese...all served up quickly by friendly, experienced waitresses that manage to... On a trip to visit the nearby Royal Botanical Gardens, we stopped for lunch, based on the positive Tripadvisor reviews. I suppose you could call us "foodies" if you have to be contemporary. We like fresh food, carefully prepared. If you fall into this category, think twice about Mr. Williams. This restaurant is what I would call a classic "greasy... More
