Thoughtfully prepared dishes with amazing sauces and a great concept. My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and found the food to be delicious! We shared 5 plates - they were all unique and delicious I was happy with everything we tried. Very pleased and will be returning.

What an amazing meal we had last night.....if you can get past the fact that the patio is in an alley with a pole dancing club and a tattoo artist, the food is truly out of this world. This is a "small plate" restaurant so the idea is you order 2 - 3 small plates instead of a great big... More

Creative, inventive and irreverent - these guys are having fun making comfort food you wouldn't try to make at home. The plates are smallish so you get a chance to try more things than you would normally, and the quality and craft in the kitchen are excellent. I've eaten here three times, twice business entertaining, and despite some previous reviews,... More

I've been here twice this spring and would say it's my top Burlington restaurant right now. I literally wanted to lick my plate when finished. The lobster Mac & cheese and the braised short ribs with mushroom lasagna have been my favourites. I would also recommend the crab cakes and whitefish tacos. The best seat in house is at the... More

We used to visit this place on a regular basis for a light lunch. At first the soup and half sandwich seemed the best around. They remove this from the menu and we have not returned. Service is poor for this size restaurant.

This was my second visit, but it had been a long time since my first. I came with a group not long after the restaurant first opened. There were some familiar items on the menu, but there was definitely more selection this time and some good choices for those who don't eat a lot of meat. We enjoyed a lovely... More

It was supposed to be a special birthday evening. My email requesting a reservation was never answered. Why list an email address, if it isn't checked? Called the restaurant to make a reservation and advised the person who answered that the email was not answered. Got no apology! Mentioned that the reservation was for a birthday. Got seated at a... My wife & I attended Saturday 15th Feb during the taste of Burlington for the first time. The restaurant temperature itself was cool and the ambience a little rustic. The service was prompt and we chose from the fixed price menu. The meal itself was tasty but the portion size small but adequate, just. We had 2 glasses of red... More

The Alex doesn't impress from the outside and it's awkward access but is cozy inside. The menu changes regularly and has lots of variety. Portions are a bit larger than tapas but still are small plates and the food is always excellent. The service is attentive and professional but still friendly. The wine list is adequate but like most area... More

The food is amazing, the service is impeccable and the decor is quaint. Local artists have thier work displayed monthly and throughout the year which is great and adds a nice touch. Wine list is up to date. The chef / owner is at the restaurant a lot (almost every time I go) so it's nice to see the involvement... More
