Fantastic atmosphere

Lovely to look at but you will pay for it. Service and meal OK but it could be cheaper. If you want privacy, you will have to tell the waiter/waitress to leave you alone as they keep asking if you wish anything else. They don't take no for an answer. Amazingly there is always lineups.

The food is good although not spectacular. The upscale atmosphere is what makes this place so popular. Piano bar in the evenings.

Since moving to the Paris/Brantford area, I've always heard about the Olde School House. We finally decided to try this place while on a double date with friends and I'm already looking forward to going back. Fun Fact: Her Majesty The Queen, dined in the restaurant in June of 1997. I've experienced other restaurants considering themselves as fine dining, but... More

My boyfriend and I dine her often. The table service is unbeatable, and very classy. The food is always delicious, and seasoned to perfection. The owner Gus recognizes you every time, and is a very sweet man! The oysters rockafellar are to die for, and the veal chop is always tasty. We love to enjoy the Clarence Hill 2005 bottle... More

Dined at the Olde School House quite a few times and never really been disapointed on any occasion. Atmosphere is impressive (as it should be for a Queen!). The ambiance of the piano player/singer in the background adds to the overall experience even though the sound system could be of better quality or dispersed better throughout the restaurant. I would... More

We were 7 dining at the late sitting for New Year's Eve this year. There was a set menu which was fine, and the restaurant was busy. The food we chose was the salad which was very good for a starter and some chose the Potato Leek soup which was good. 6 out of 7 chose the prime rib and... More

I have been to this restaurant two dozen times in the last few years and it has never disappointed. The venue is an old converted school house with antique furnishings and the loveliest most romantic decor. The service is exceptional. The servers will make you feel like royalty every time. The owner, Gus, is personable and takes pride in his... More

If it's good enough for the Queen of England, it's good enough for our family! Once you enter this charming old school house that is now a fine dining restaurant you are enraptured by the quaintness, yet formality of this restaurant. Some might say it is dated, but it may be more a reflection of days gone by. Reliably, the... More

Dinner for two in an intimate setting with exceptional ambiance. Both New York Strip Loin steak and Orange Ruffy with shrimp and scallop sauce were served to perfection. Dinner for 2, wine and Grand Marnier to follow for under $130 was a bargain. If you agree, please check this review as helpful.
